#FUNDRAISING: GIVING MACHINES AT TORONTO EATON CENTRE
The ‘Light the World Giving Machine’ is back. If you were around at Fairview Mall in North York last year, you might recall seeing these.
Giving Machines are a unique vending machine where instead of buying chips or pop, you can purchase items from local and national charities. 100% of all proceeds go directly to the charities and this year they’ll be in over 100 cities around the world. Charities are joining forces, side by side giving people tge choice to choose the items they want to donate, making donating to charity a little more personalized but also convenient as we shop for the holidays this season.
There will be a total three machines at the Toronto Eaton Centre from Nov 19th – Dec 8th, 2024 and this year you’ll be able to buy items like ‘Food for a Day,’ ‘Personal Care Items,’ ‘Warm Winter Gear,’ ‘Water Purification Tablets,’ and even ‘Two Baby Chicks.’
The charities involved are Covenant House Toronto, Daily Bread Food Bank, Jays Care Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto, CARE Canada, Right To Play and UNICEF Canada.
They’re located just outside of the Apple Store on Level 2.
