#FIRSTLOOK: “DR. CABBIE” OFFICIAL TRAILER

We’ve been pumped for DR. CABBIE since hearing of it being in production in Toronto last Spring. Well finally, an extended Trailer has surfaced for the Comedy which could well get a premiere at TIFF ’14!  Yahoo! Movies got the first look back in April and now here’s a more extensive look at what we can expect from Bollywood Heavyweight Salman Khan‘s first international Flick!

Official Synopsis:
An unemployed Doctor turned Cab Driver (Vinay Virmani) becomes a local Hero when he converts his Taxi into a Mobile Clinic. Dr. CABBIE is the heart warming journey of a young Indian Doctor who immigrates to Canada with the selfless ambition of healing others while beginning a new life in the land of opportunity. DR. CABBIE discovers his true purpose and true love when he embarks upon this journey of a Doctor turned Cabbie.

#SPOTTED: ADRIANNE PALICKI IN TORONTO FOR “DR. CABBIE”

Although filming has wrapped for hilarious-looking new Comedy Dr. Cabbie (formerly Dr. Cabbie’s Meter’s Running) one of its Stars was still spotted in-town earlier today after a grueling week which saw lengthy overnight shoots.  The stunning Adrianne Palicki was spotted walking her adorable Dog, Olly earlier today, casual and gorgeous in Tank Top and Sunglasses.  Ever kind, the Rising Star stopped for a quick Snap and was absolutely lovely and gracious.

Television audiences will remember Palicki for her fantastic work as Tyra Collette on NBC‘s Friday Night Lights.  Like many of her Co-Stars, her profile has been boosted significantly of late including a starring role in this year’s Box Office Hit G.I. Joe: Retaliation from Paramount Pictures.

Palicki stars in the Jean Francois Pouliot Film as the Love Interest of Deepak (Vinay Virmani), a young Indian Doctor who ventures to Canada, becoming a Local Hero merging both his Cab Driving and Medical Skills!  There is even some Bollywood-style dancing in the Film.  Amaze.

We spotted Big Bang Theory Star Kunal Nayyar also last week and he too stars in the Comedy!  Local Celebrities Kardinal Offishall and KISS 92.5‘s Mocha even make Cameos!

Although it’s really pushing it, there are hopes this will premiere at TIFF if not this year, maybe next year?

#SPOTTED: KUNAL NAYYAR IN TORONTO FOR “DR. CABBIE’S METER’S RUNNING”

Everyone loves Rajesh! Kunal Nayyar is a bona fide Household name thanks to his starring role on CBS Hit Series The Big Bang Theory and Toronto has the honour of hosting him as he continues filming on upcoming Comedy, Dr. Cabbie’s Meter’s Running. Starring alongside Adrianne Palicki (G.I. Joe) and Vinay Virmani (Breakaway), the Actor has been in Toronto this past month filming and wraps in just a couple days!

I spotted the Actor heading off to work earlier with his Crew, looking cool and casual.

#FILMING: “DR. CABBIE’S METER’S RUNNING” BEGINS PRODUCTION IN TORONTO

Toronto officially welcomes another exciting new Production, this time with FirstTake Entertainment and Caramel Film‘s co-produced Dr. Cabbie’s Meter’s Running.   The Comedy, presented by Salman Khan Being Human Productions, features an eclectic Cast which includes: Vinay Virmani (Breakaway), Adrianne Palicki (GI JOE), Kunal Nayyar (Big Bang Theory), Lillete Dubey (Monsoon Wedding), Mircea Monroe (Change Up), Rizwan Manji (Outsourced) and Chris Diamantopoulos (The Three Stooges).

The official Synopsis for Dr. Cabbie’s Meter’s Running is below:

“An unemployed Doctor turned Cab Driver becomes a local Hero when he converts his Taxi into a Mobile Clinic. Dr. CABBIE is the heart warming journey of a young Indian Doctor who immigrates to Canada with the selfless ambition of healing others while beginning a new life in the land of opportunity. Dr. CABBIE disovers his true purpose and true love when he embarks upon this journey of a Doctor turned Cabbie.”

Production, based in Mississauga, takes place between April 10, 2013 through May 19, 2013.   eOne Films will be releasing.

Definitely one to keep a tab on possible to premiere at TIFF in the future?
