TERRIFIER 3 slashes its way to the top of the Box Office with an impressive $15 million opening from 2,514 theatres for Cineverse/Iconic Events. It gets 77% on the Tomatometer, very strong for a Horror. This is by far the Franchise’s biggest opening yet, its previous best being $800k with the second film’s 2022 opening. This Film was made for only $2 million.
Next up is THE WILD ROBOT with $13.1 million from 3,848 theatres, a domestic run of $83.3 million thus far for Universal Pictures.
Third is JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX with $9 million from 4,102 theatres for Warner Bros., a total $53.5 million over two weekends.
Taking fourth is BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE with $6.7 million from 3,408 theatres for Warner Bros. In its run so far, it has grossed $275 million in North America.
TRANSFORMERS ONE caps it off with $4.1 million for Paramount Pictures, bringing it to $53 million.
JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX debuts atop the Box Office this weekend with $37 million for Warner Bros. Critics weren’t pleased with this latest effort re-teaming Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix for a 33% score on the Tomatometer. By contrast 2019’s JOKER debuted in top spot with $96 million.
Second goes to last week’s #1 film THE WILD ROBOT with $19.5 million from 3,997 theatres, a two week total of $64 million for Universal Pictures.
Third is BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE with $11.4 million for Warner Bros., a tally of $266 million domestically since it opened early September.
In fourth is TRANSFORMERS ONE with $5.5 million, a run of $47.4 million for Paramount Pictures over three weeks.
Rounding out the Top Five is SPEAK NO EVIL, a total $32 million over four weekends for Universal Pictures.
THE WILD ROBOT is a machine, opening to an impressive $35 million from 3,963 theatres for Universal Pictures. The Animated Feature which premiered at TIFF “24, gets a stellar 98% on the Tomatometer.
In second is BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE with $15.4 million for Warner Bros. in its fourth frame, tallying-in at a $250 million run domestically.
TRANSFORMERS ONE gets $10 million in its second weekend out for Paramount Pictures. It is edging close to the $40 million mark.
DEVARA PART 1 gets $6.3 million from 1,040 theatres for Prathyangira Cinema, good for fourth.
MEGALOPOLIS from icon Francis Ford Coppola, earns $5 million from 1,854 theatres for Cineplex Pictures and Lionsgate. This self-funded gamble gets 47% on the Tomatometer.
TRANSFORMERS ONE debuts atop the Box Office with $26 million from 3,978 theatres for Paramount Pictures. The star-studded Animated Feature gets 88% on the Tomatometer. Franchise best opening still goes to 2009’s TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN with $108 million.
A close second is BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE with $24.5 million from 4,172 theatres for Warner Bros. Over three weeks now, it has grossed $225 million.
Third goes to SPEAK NO EVIL with $5.7 million for Universal Pictures, reaching $21.2 million in its two week run.
Fourth is NEVER LET GO with $4 million for Lionsgate/Cineplex Pictures, from 2,667 theatres. It gets a passing 61% on the Tomatometer.
Rounding out the Top Five is THE SUBSTANCE with $3.5 million from 1,949 theatres for MUBI, hot off its TIFF ’24 Premiere, opening to raves at 88% on the Tomatometer

The first trailer for TRANSFORMERS ONE is debuting like no movie trailer ever has: In Space!
This long-awaited origin story of how the most iconic characters in the TRANSFORMERS universe, Orion Pax and D-16, went from brothers-in-arms to become sworn enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron, will debut its trailer on Thursday, April 18th. The launch kicks off at 6am PT with a live-streamed countdown showing the journey into space.
After one hour, the craft will reach its peak at 125,000 feet above the Earth, revealing the trailer with a custom introduction video from our stars: Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry. The event will be streamed from @TransformersMovie social accounts, The Paramount Pictures YouTube channel and co-streamed by Chris Hemsworth on Instagram.

NO HARD FEELINGS completes its second weekend with $7.6 million, bringing its run to $29.4 million for Sony Pictures.
