Formed in 2012, country music duo Dan + Shay are primed for the release of their second disc, Obsessed. The Nashville-based duo are in Toronto promoting the Disc with a series of TV and radio appearances. After playing at Gibson Guitar last night, they even took time to enjoy Justin Bieber at Air Canada Centre! I mean, they only happen to be managed by Scooter Braun!
Country Music fans will recognize the great potential duo, consisting of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, getting lots of airplay with their singles Nothin’ Like You and latest single From the Ground Up. In addition to their own rising fame, they have penned hits for the likes of giants Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts, hence if you enjoy the warm sounds of those acts, liking Dan and Shay should happen naturally.
We met the duo at their Morning Show appearance and they were amazing to stop for a Selfie through the studio window!

Brooke Shields has been a household name for as long as I remember. As a young child, I remember my brothers fawning over her in Films like Blue Lagoon and Endless Love. In the early ’80s, the Actress/Model came to define the conventional standard of beauty, gracing the covers of fashion magazines around the world like Vogue. Starring roles on series like Suddenly Susan and Lipstick Jungle have introduced her to a newer generation of fans.
A Harvard graduate in French Literature who has managed to stay in the public spotlight for several years, Shields right now is focusing on her acting once again. She is in town promoting her latest TV Movie Flower Shop Mystery: Mum’s The Word from Hallmark Channel, to air on W Network Sunday, April 17, 2016, 7 PM in Canada.
Shields dodged fans all morning as she went from stop to stop on her tour, even going as far as to sneak out of her Breakfast Television appearance for a couple fans waiting outside. A tad late for her appearance on The Morning Show (National Edition), likewise she put her iPhone to her ear as she head into the studio when noticing fans. Again the Manhattan native opted a hidden exit leaving telling five fans she had to make it to her next appearance and that she didn’t have time.
She was however very friendly and animated at her The Morning Show appearance:

He’s definitely our favourite Backstreet Boy! A.J. McLean is in Toronto to promote his latest solo endeavour, his album The Anthem. He has been out and about doing the local TV circuit including appearances at The Social, Canada AM and The Morning Show (National Edition), performing single Live Together.
McLean, whom many believe to be the heart and soul of famed Backstreet Boys, also made a stop-off in Montreal and not too long ago released a line of vapour flavours under his Skulleeroz imprint. Blueberry Pancake and Candy Peach are among his bestsellers. More about that here.

There is no new artist I adore more than Jess Glynne. It’s undeniable that the landscape of pop music has changed so much over the past few years and while there are many faceless singers featured on tracks by red-hot producers or dance acts, something about the vivacious 25-year-old redhead that is different.
Rather Be by Clean Bandit infiltrated North American airwaves last summer to much success, going-on to win them and Glynne, who provided vocals, a coveted Grammy. It’s time for Glynne‘s close-up now and she’s looking to take that five-number-one-hit success she’s established in the UK stateside.
Glynne currently is on-tour playing clubs mostly as part of her Ain’t Got Far to Go Tour in North America (she can fill arenas in the UK) and just this weekend she was in Montreal. In addition to a show tonight at Adelaide Hall, Glynne is out promoting her debut disc, I Cry When I Laugh and despite almost not getting to meet her as she went to an appearance at The Morning Show (National Edition) via an alternate entrance. After catching her attention, she promised to come out after her appearance. And she did.
See her Interview here:
The truth is since finding a way to stream I Cry When I Laugh back in August, I haven’t stopped listening to it. Every single track on it is pure gold. True, there isn’t anything particularly new or innovative about the collection of tunes, but that is what’s refreshing about it. It’s not trying to be trendy necessarily. Just good, solid tunes and superb vocals. Real emotions.
If you haven’t ever heard of Glynne, please check-out Hold My Hand, Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself or Take Me Home for a snapshot of her talent.
Meeting Glynne was a dream and Billy being my sidekick made that moment extra special as he brought a big smile to her face, even trying to go in for a kiss. She is everything I could have wished for.
