#FIRSTLOOK: “THE BLOCK” WRAPS PRODUCTION

Craig Singer’s feature-length horror film THE BLOCK starring recent Tony award-winning Jack Falahee (Death of a Salesman) and Saphira Moran (The Only One, BEAST) wraps production and post-production as of October 2026. What begins with a successful horror writer, Mitch James (Falahee), at the top of his career, quickly devolves into a murderous case of writer’s block, and a fan-turned-girlfriend (Moran as Natalie) obsession that becomes deadly.

“I’ve been developing The Block for many years,” says director and co-producer Craig Singer. “The original idea—what an artist is compelled to go through to secure their art and legacy—has always intrigued me, and feels even more urgent in 2026. Today’s rapidly evolving, AI-driven creative landscape forces creators at every level to make artistic choices and face challenges on a scale we’ve never seen. The timing couldn’t be more relevant. The Block isn’t about jump scares; it’s a philosophic fable for our times.”

Directed by Craig Singer, former Creative VP at Disney, and written by horror-writer Robert Dean Klein, THE BLOCK follows the once-golden boy of horror into a mind-bending exploration of the creative process, locking the protagonist in a never-ending doom-cycle of creation and destruction. Singer and Klein teamed up once again, following the success of their award-winning film 6:45 starring Michael Reed, Armin Garo, Augie Duke, and a stand-out ensemble cast.

The ensemble cast of THE BLOCK includes Thomas G. Waites (The Thing), Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen, Shutter Island), Catherine Cocoran (Terrifier), Chris Noth (Sex and the City), Carrie Jo Crosby, Armen Garo (TV series Dexter: New Blood), Michael Rodrick (TV series General Hospital), Elias Koteas (TV series Chicago P.D.) and more.

The film is a co-production between Singer’s US-based production company Cascrator Films, and Australian-based production company Three777 Films who co-produced BEAST starring Russell Crowe and recent slasher film THE ONLY ONE starring Mel Jarnson and Saphira Moran.

THE BLOCK does not yet have a premiere date.
