Netflix today announced that the critically-acclaimed comedy series A Man on the Inside has been renewed for a second season, slated to premiere in 2025.
A Man on the Inside debuted atop Netflix’s most popular English TV List and has remained in the top 10 for three weeks since release. It was named one of AFI’s 2024 TV programs of the year and Ted Danson has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance by an actor in a comedy series.
Quote from Creator / Executive Producer Mike Schur as told to Tudum.com: “We are thrilled to make another season of A Man on the Inside, starring young up-and-comer Ted Danson. From our partners at Netflix and Universal TV to the writers, cast, and crew, it’s a truly exceptional team of talented and lovely people, with one notable exception (young up-and-comer Ted Danson, who’s kind of a nightmare).”
Quote from Tracey Pakosta, Netflix Vice President of Comedy Series: “A Man on The Inside found that sweet spot between funny, authentic and heartfelt, resonating across generations, and we are excited to continue this story with Mike, Ted, Universal Television and the entire team.”
Quote from Erin Underhill, President, Universal Television:: “A Man on the Inside is equal parts charming, emotional and funny with a brilliant cast that has made the first season such a delight. A massive thanks to Mike, Ted, the cast and crew, and Netflix for giving us even more reasons to laugh, shed a tear and definitely call our families.

Once voted TV Guide‘s number two (out of 25) Top Television Star and three-time Golden Globe Award Winner, pretty much everybody knows his name. Ted Danson‘s acting career has spanned 30 years, many of us growing-up watching him as Sam Malone on beloved Series, Cheers. We have nothing but fond memories of him in Toronto-filmed Comedy Three Men and a Baby, and subsequent Sequel, Three Men and a Little Lady. Even if you are a post-Millennial, you’d still recognize him from Curb Your Enthusiasm, Damages or CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Danson arrived in Toronto last night, stopping for a group photo with Fans who happened to share a flight with him, upon arrival. The Vegan, married to Actress Mary Steenburgen, is in town promoting one of his favourite causes, Ocean preservation. He appeared on CP24 Breakfast and Breakfast Television in the 6 o’clock hour, to discuss the issue and will speak later today in Financial District on the matter at an event organized by the Economic Club of Canada, named Save the Oceans, Feed the World, while also launching the Canadian branch of Oceana. He is here to challenge us to think about sustainable fishing and where we’re getting the fish from that we eat.

Danson despite running late, was kind enough to stop for a minute for Fans who made it through despite rain and subway closure. He was happy to pose with Billy and I!
