Paramount+ today revealed the official trailer for its new original series STAR TREK: STARFLEET ACADEMY, which will premiere with two episodes on Thursday, January 15z 2026 on Paramount+ in Canada and the U.S. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode long season will drop weekly on Thursdays, with the season finale on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
Stephen Colbert also announced in a special video that he will be the voice of Starfleet Academy’s “Digital Dean of Students,” giving daily announcements to the students and alerting them of anything that needs their immediate attention.

Paramount+ today released an electrifying first look teaser trailer for its new original series, STAR TREK: STARFLEET ACADEMY. The series is set to premiere on the service in early 2026 as a kick off to the year’s STAR TREK 60th anniversary celebrations.
The highly-anticipated first look teaser featured the series’ iconic campus in San Francisco plus the new starship, and integral part of the Starfleet Academy campus, the U.S.S. Athena. In addition, new details about the STARFLEET ACADEMY characters were revealed:
Academy Award winner Holly Hunter as Nahla Ake, the Chancellor of Starfleet Academy and Captain of the U.S.S. Athena, who also happens to be a long-lived half-Lanthanite.

Paramount+ today announced that season four of its hit original series STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS will feature a puppet themed episode, featuring U.S.S. Enterprise crew members as puppets created by the iconic Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. The episode is directed by Jordan Canning (Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock).

In addition, the Hall H audience was treated to a surprise advance screening of the series’ upcoming new episode, “A Space Adventure Hour,” ahead of its debut this Thursday, July 31 on Paramount+. Directed by Jonathan Frakes, the episode incorporates a ‘murder mystery’ theme: When La’An (Chong) tests a prototype holodeck with a fictional case only she can solve, the consequences of failure get greater and greater, with the Enterprise hanging in the balance.

A big bash was held in support of the film starring Michelle Yeoh, who reprises her role as Philippa Georgiou. Here, she confronts her past actions and love as she teams with Section 31 to protect the United Federation of Planets.
Director Olatunde Osunsanmi along with stars Kacey Rohl and Humberly Gonzalez, came out and graced us with their presence at a special screening, hosted by Hotel X. They spoke at a Q&A following the film, before staying behind to meet attendees including fans, influencers and media at a reception.

Paramount+ today debuted a teaser trailer for its original movie STAR TREK: SECTION 31 during the STAR TREK universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The movie made its Hall H debut with cast members Omari Hardwick, Sam Richardson and Canadian Kacey Rohl, along with executive producer Alex Kurtzman and director Olatunde Osunsanmi. The panel featured a surprise video “interruption” from the film’s star, Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh, who introduced the teaser.
The new teaser also revealed a first look at a young Philippa Georgiou, played by Toronto-born Miku Martineau (Kate).
In the movie, slated to premiere in early 2025, Yeoh reprises her fan-favorite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou – a character she played in STAR TREK: DISCOVERY’s first season – who joins a secret division of Starfleet. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past.
STAR TREK: SECTION 31 also stars Omari Hardwick (Power), Kacey Rohl (Hannibal), Emmy® winner Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso), Sven Ruygrok (One Piece), Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Canadian Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia) and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry).
Written by Craig Sweeny and directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, STAR TREK: SECTION 31 is executive produced by Alex Kurtzman, Craig Sweeny, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Michelle Yeoh and is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.
STAR TREK: SECTION 31 will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada, the U.S. and in all international markets where the service is available. The movie is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
