Toronto got a huge treat last night as the Red Carpet was rolled out at a Special Advance Screening of BIG MISTAKES! The Dark Comedy co-created by Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek) and Rachen Sennott (Shiva Baby) centers on an openly-gay pastor named Nicky (Levy) whom together with his school teacher Morgan (Taylor Ortega) find themselves embroiled in the world of organized crime after the latter steals a necklace at a pawn shop. Why? The two distant siblings are tasked with getting their deceased grandmother the perfect piece of jewelry before she gets buried. The Cast is runs deep in talent with icons Laurie Metcalf and Elizabeth Perkins also starring, plus Toronto’s own Jack Innanen as well.
Levy‘s parents, legendary Eugene Levy and Deborah Divine also came out to show support for their son and his hilarious, anxiety-inducing Sitcom. Did you know that the Series’ edgy music is by Toronto icon Peaches?

Today, Netflix debuted the official trailer and first look images for Dan Levy’s upcoming comedy thriller series Big Mistakes, premiering April 9, 2026.
The premiere date was teased earlier this week with a staged necklace heist:
On Tuesday, March 10th, a mysterious billboard went up on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, featuring a diamond necklace that spells out “4.9.26”, with no context about what this was referring to. Later in the evening, an AR Video of the necklace being “stolen” off the billboard was posted on Netflix’s social channels.
On Wednesday, March 11th, selfies of Dan Levy and cast members Taylor Ortega, Laurie Metcalf, Abby Quinn, Boran Kuzum and Jack Innanen were posted on Netflix’s channels, each wearing the “stolen” necklace, revealing them to be the culprits behind the heist.
Catch the premiere of Big Mistakes on April 9, 2026 only on Netflix.
