Also, my neighbour learning piano is playing "Mia & Sebastian's Theme". My heart is so full hearing them play along to sheet music with just that slight bit of hesitation at the next set of chords ahead. A perfect end to tiff. This film was my entire identity tiff 2016.

#THEATRE: MIRVISH PRODUCTIONS PRESENT “HELL’S KITCHEN”
Based semi-autobiographically on the life of Alicia Keys, two-time TONY-winning Musical HELL’S KITCHEN is now playing in Toronto, thanks to Mirvish Productions, at CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre.
The story centers around 17-year-old Ali (Maya Drake), who is navigating being a teen, boys, her controlling mom Jersey (Kennedy Caughell), and finding herself. And it is only by chance that she stumbles upon learning piano with the help of a mentor in Miss Liza Jane (Roz White), which would lead her down the eventual path she would take to Grammy-winning greatness.
At the heart of the story here is the love between mother and daughter, and while it is put through great tests, it proves unbreakable and that is affecting and uplifting. Caughell is a master of her craft and mindblowingly good – what a vocal powerhouse!
