She certainly needs little introduction. If you’ve ever been home bored on a Saturday night these past couple years, likely you know the genius Comedy of Kate McKinnon. The New York-born Funnywoman is in-town for the Toronto Sketch Fest, making an appearance at Randolph Theatre where she played tonight an ambitious two shows back-to-back.
Known best for her impersonations of Hillary Clinton, Iggy Azalea, Justin Bieber and her idol, Ellen DeGeneres, McKinnon brought the LOLs for Toronto, having some of the Audience in stitches with jokes ranging from her ‘muffin top’ to stool samples. The Multi-Instrumentalist even brought out her guitar to entertain the crowd with a mish-mash of her comedic and musical talents.
We had the pleasure of meeting the Genius herself after her final Show of the night and she is every bit amazing, plowing through slush to her cab, stopping for Fans after a long day of prep and performance.
McKinnon in addition to SNL, has been tapped to star in Paul Feig‘s 2016 all-female Ghostbusters alongside Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones.

After much speculation, Director Paul Feig (BRIDESMAIDS) took to Twitter today to set the rumours straight!  We already heard about GHOSTBUSTERS III being developed.  We know Bill Murray’s out.  And we know original Director-turned-Toronto Restauranteur Ivan Reitman is in via a Producer’s capacity. And we already heard about it potentially starring an all-female Cast.  But where’s the proof?  Feig dishes the details in less than 140 characters.
Read Feig‘s Tweet below:
It’s official. I’m making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That’s who I’m gonna call.
— Paul Feig (@paulfeig) October 8, 2014
For those who don’t know, Katie Dippold as a Writer, paired with Feig on hilarious 2013 Box Office Hit THE HEAT starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy which went-on to earn $228 million worldwide. Â And we know McCarthy and Feig already have an amazing working relationship judging by the mentioned Film and the massive $288-million-grossing success of BRIDESMAIDS. Â Hence it’s safe to say McCarthy for sure will star in this? Â But who are these other “hilarious women” he speaks of?
Whom would you like to see star in GHOSTBUSTERS III?
