#SPOTTED: EMMY ROSSUM IN TORONTO FOR “FURIOUS”

Call Emmy Rossum a veteran Actress, because she is! Consistently churning-out fantastic work for the past couple decades, including her acclaimed role as Fiona Gallagher on Shameless, her breakout role in The Phantom of the Opera, Mystic River and more. She’s back with an intriguing new Hulu series.

Rossum produces and stars as FBI agent Alice Black in FURIOUS, based on Bob Rafelson‘s film, The Black Widow. She is in pursuit of a female serial killer, as their paths begin to interwine, the more Alice uncovers. The first three episodes stream July 27, 2026 on Hulu on Disney+ in Canada, with a total eight episodes.

Rossum was in Toronto promoting this thrilling new series, doing a couple days of press, which included at photoshoot at TIFF Lightbox’s Malaparte, an appearance at an intimate screening of FURIOUS, and interviews on staples like Breakfast Television and The Morning Show. She looked absolutely stunning in red, doing her day two rounds and was so lovely to stop for some photos.

Today, Disney+ uncovered the official trailer and key art for the upcoming Hulu Original drama series “Furious.” The series premieres Monday, July 27, 2026 with three episodes on Hulu on Disney+ in Canada, with new episodes weekly.

From creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriwether, “Furious” follows an FBI agent, Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) on the hunt for a mysterious and calculating female serial killer. Both walk their own paths toward justice, and as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur.

The series stars Emmy Rossum, Lola Petticrew, Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Jake Lacy.

“Furious” was created, written and executive produced by Elizabeth Meriwether. Emmy Rossum executive produced for Composition 8, along with Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead, and Sam Hoffman. Brian Kirk executive produced and directed episodes 101 and 102. The series is produced by 20th Television and Searchlight Television.
