Today, Disney+ released a new trailer for season two of âDoctor Who.â In the trailer, audiences see the Doctor and his new companion Belinda Chandra as they adventure across time and space, from a futuristic 51st century to the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest to becoming animated characters, a first for the âDoctor Whoâ series.

Today, Disney Branded Television and the BBC jointly announced that season two of âDoctor Whoâ will premiere Saturday, April 12 (12:00 a.m. PDT / 3:00 a.m. EDT) on Disney+. New episodes from the eight-part season will premiere weekly.
EmmyÂź Award winner Alan Cumming (âThe Traitorsâ) will guest star in the second episode as Mr Ring-a-Ding, a happy, funny, singalong cartoon, who lives in Sunny Town with his friend Sunshine Sally. However, in 1952, after years of repeats in cinemas across the land, Mr Ring-a-Ding suddenly looks beyond the screen and sees the real world outside â and the consequences are terrifying. Cumming is returning to the Whoniverse after previously playing King James I in the 2018 episode âThe Witchfinders.â

Synopsis: When Joy checks into a London hotel in 2024, she opens a secret doorway to the Time Hotel â discovering danger, dinosaurs and the Doctor. But a deadly plan is unfolding across the Earth, just in time for Christmas.

Disney Branded Television and BBC jointly announced âThe War Between The Land And The Sea,â an all-new âDoctor Whoâ spinoff, today at San Diego Comic-Con. Leading the five-part series is Russell Tovey (âFeud,â âAmerican Horror Story: NYCâ) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (âSurface,â âLokiâ), alongside returning âDoctor Whoâ cast members Jemma Redgrave (as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart) and Alexander Devrient (as Colonel Ibrahim).
When a fearsome and ancient species emerges from the ocean, dramatically revealing themselves to humanity, an international crisis is triggered. With the entire population at risk, UNIT steps into action as the land and sea wage war. Created by âDoctor Whoâ showrunner and executive producer Russell T Davies, who wrote the spinoff with Pete McTighe (âA Discovery of Witches,â âThe Pact,â âDoctor Whoâ), the series features the triumphant return of the Sea Devils, classic âDoctor Whoâ villains first seen in 1972.

Today, Disney Branded Television and BBC jointly announced the premiere date for the next âDoctor Whoâ installment, the first-ever season to launch on Disney+ and release simultaneously worldwide. Additionally, a blue carpet world premiere screening of the Christmas Special and Q&A with Gatwa, Gibson and showrunner Russell T Davies took place at the British Film Institute, Southbank yesterday.
