Showcase unearths the new comedy series Dig on Monday, November 23, 2026 on Showcase and STACKTV. Airing with weekly back-to-back episodes at 9 and 9:30 p.m. ET, the series follows a team of dedicated archaeologists (and less-dedicated college students) who spend their summer working on a dig site in Greece. Their discovery of a rare artifact sends them on the adventure of a lifetime.
Dig is an adaptation of Kate Myers’ bestseller Excavations and stars Amy Poehler ( Parks and Recreation), Hugh Laurie ( House), Geraldine Viswanathan ( Thunderbolts*), Antonia Thomas ( The Good Doctor) and Fina Strazza ( Fear Street: Prom Queen). The guest cast will include Kayvan Novak, Jon Pointing and Bonita Friedericy. Michael Schur and J.J. Philbin are executive producers/co-showrunners and Amy Poehler, Morgan Sackett, Dean Holland, Kate Arend and Jordan Grief for Paper Kite, Dave Becky and David Miner for 3 Arts, Sharon Jackson for Ocean Avenue also executive produce.
The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, Fremulon, Paper Kite, Duck Duck Films, Dunshire, 3 Arts, and Ocean Avenue.
