SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME reclaims the throne this weekend at the Box Office for Labour Day weekend. The re-release of the former #1, contains 11 minutes of added footage, gets $7 million from 3,935 theatres for Sony Pictures, taking its total North American run to $810 million. It was released 29 weekends ago originally.
Second goes to TOP GUN: MAVERICK with $4.5 million from 3,113 theatres for Paramount Pictures, a total $699.3 million, slowly making its way to $700 million.
In third we have BULLET TRAIN with $4.6 million from 3,117 theatres for Sony Pictures, a tally of $86.4 million domestically.
DC LEAGUE OF SUPER-PETS is in fourth with $4.1 million, bringing its total to $80.4 million.
BEAST rounds it all out with $4 million for Universal Pictures, its run at $26.6 million.
This is huge for the world of Anime! DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO debuts at #1 at the North American Box Office with $21 million from 3,007 theatres. From Distributor Crunchyroll, the Animated Feature gets a phenomenal 92% on the Tomatometer.
In second is Idris Elba-fronted BEAST with $10.1 million for Universal Pictures, from 3,743 theatres. It gets 68% on the Tomatometer.
BULLET TRAIN is in third with $7.1 million from 3,781 theatres for Sony Pictures, a total run of $68.6 million.
TOP GUN: MAVERICK gets fourth with $5.6 million for Paramount Pictures, a total $683 million earned domestically to date.
Fifth is DC LEAGUE OF SUPER-PETS with $4.8 million for Warner Bros., a total $66.5 million over four weekends.
BULLET TRAIN takes the top spot at the Box Office a second straight week with $12.6 million from 4,357 theatres for Sony Pictures, taking it to $53.6 million domestically. No new entries in the Top Five this weekend.
In second is DC LEAGUE OF SUPER-PETS with $8.6 million, a total run of $59 million for Warner Bros.
TOP GUN: MAVERICK still is hanging tough with $6.8 million in third, edging ever closer to the $700 million mark domestically for Paramount Pictures.
NOPE is in fourth with $6.2 million for Universal Pictures, a total run of $108 million to date.
THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER rounds-out this five with $5.7 million for Disney, a total $326 million in its domestic run.
Moviegoers love their thrills and they showed-up this weekend to see Brad Pitt‘s latest, BULLET TRAIN which debuts at #1 with $30 million from 4,357 theatres for Sony Pictures. While Critics didn’t love it giving it 55% on the Tomatometer, Audiences are giving it 81%.
In second is DC LEAGUE OF SUPER-PETS with $10.9 million from 4,352 theatres for Warner Bros., bringing it to $44.8 million in its second weekend.
Third goes to NOPE with $8 million from 3,016 theatres for Universal Pictures, a total $97.5 million grossed domestically in its third weekend.
Fourth is THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER with $7.6 million for Disney, a tally of $316 million to date.
Rounding out our Top Five is MINIONS: THE RISE OF GRU with $6.8 million, a total $334 million for Universal Pictures.
There’s just no caging DC LEAGUE OF SUPER-PETS as it drives families back out to the Movies this Summer with a smashing $23 million from 4,314 theatres for Warner Bros. Critically, this Animated Feature with the voices of Dwayne Johnson and John Krasinski, gets 71% on the Tomatometer.
In second is NOPE with $19 million this weekend from 3,807 theatres for Universal Pictures. After a debut on-top last weekend, its tally comes to $81 million in North America.
Third goes to THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER with $13.1 million, accounting for a total $301.5 million thus far in its run for Disney.
MINIONS: THE RISE OF GRU is fourth with $11.3 million, a run of $320 million to date for Universal Pictures.
TOP GUN: MAVERICK rounds it out with $8.5 million for Paramount Pictures, bringing its total run to $651 million.
