#FIRSTLOOK: “DARK MATCH” PREMIERES AT FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL 2024

On Sunday, July 21st, Dark Match had its World Premiere screening at Fantasia Film Festival. Writer & Director Lowell Dean was in attendance with wrestling superstar Chris Jericho (TERRIFIER 2), Ayisha Issa (Transplant), Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead, Westworld), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries), Michael Eklund (THE CALL, ERRORS OF THE HUMAN BODY), Jonathan Cherry (GOON), Mo Jabari (AEW Dark: Elevation) and Justin Lawrick (Wrestling with the Past) and Skene Kittle.

The premiere delighted fans with a wrestling inspired red carpet and film merchandise.

#FIRSTLOOK: “DARK MATCH” TO PREMIERE AT FANTASTIA FILM FESTIVAL

Canadian director Lowell Dean’s action-horror DARK MATCH will have its World Premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival next month. The 80’s set wrestling film stars Canadian actors Ayisha Issa (Transplant) and Steven Ogg (Grand Theft Auto V, The Walking Dead), with pro wrestling legend Chris Jericho (Terrifier 2).

It will premiere in the Canadian-cinema focused Septentrion Shadows section of the festival on Sunday, July 21st at 6:30pm at the Henry F. Hall Building at Concordia University.

Penned by Lowell Dean (Wolfcop), the film was produced by Dept. 9 Studios’ John K. MacDonald, Don Depoe, and Michael Feehan, as well as Michael Peterson and Rhonda Baker. Blue Finch Films has boarded worldwide rights (excluding Canada).
