’80s Teen Idol Molly Ringwald is known best for her iconic roles as a Muse to John Hughes‘ Films like Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. With Music now more her focus, Ringwald‘s reason of visit is her latest Jazz disc Except Sometimes, showing she equally applies herself to anything she puts her mind to.
Performing tomorrow night at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, Fans will have a chance to connect with her as she performs selections from her Disc, including a cover of Simple Minds‘ Don’t You Forget About Me, made famous by Sixteen Candles. The Track is the only contemporary Track on the Disc which features American Songbook selections.
A Notoriously Fan-shy Ringwald, sporting a blonde Pixie Cut, opted sadly not to greet Fans waiting for her outside CITY‘s Breakfast Television, having Security Guards advise she was in a rush. It is reported she took a secret entrance to her KISS 92.5 appearance on the Roz & Mocha Show.
“I dont know if could’ve done it”, she says to Roz & Mocha about being famous and young in the age of the Internet. “You have to be really, really strong.”.
There are still tickets left for Ringwald‘s Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. Click here for more.
