After some medical setbacks last week. iconic Singer-Songwriter Lionel Richie showed his resilience and gumption, jumping right back into his SING A SONG ALL NIGHT LONG Tour at Scotiabank Arena last night! The Tour, co-headlined with legendary R&B group Earth, Wind & Fire goes for 26 dates across North America.
Richie powered through his expansive catalog of hits – with The Commadores and solo – including “Hello”, “All Night Long”, “Easy”, “Stuck on You”, “Say You, Say Me”, “Endless Love”, and “All Night Long“. He even threw-in “We Are the World”, which he co-wrote with Michael Jackson, calling for unity as the entire arena sang together in unison with their cell phone flashlights alit.
The 77-year-old music industry veteran commented on his not feeling well during his show in St. Paul, Minnesota, last week, terminating it early. He joked about suggestions three different women gave him, one telling him that “These things happen when you turn 80!”, drawing laughter from the crowd. He then said humorously that the show is an advertisement for Pedialyte, which eludes to him being dehydrated.
We had the time of our life singing along as Richie delivered nothing but the hits! While his set was only about 75 minutes, it was packed with goodness.
