Right in time for Pride month, TIFF hosted an In-Conversation with Oscar-nominated Actor Elliot Page, formerly Ellen Page. Timed with the release of his Memoir PAGEBOY, the transgender star had a chat with Director Chase Joynt, also a transgender man, about Page’s remarkable career, struggles and gender transition.
Page has been on a whirlwind promoting the New York Times Bestseller, which delves into his journey to happiness and self-acceptance, stopping earlier in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, heading next to Manchester. In each stop, Page has chatted with notable figures in the LGBT2SQ+ community, carefully curating his narrative for each intimate audience.
We spotted Page arriving for the sold-out In-Conversation, appearing regretful he didn’t have time to stop to say “hi’ to fans.
