#REVIEW: “THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL”
Few things in life are certain, but we can always be sure that Wes Anderson knows how to make a gorgeous Film. Much-talked-about The Grand Budapest Hotel is everything his devout Fans could want: it is a thoughtful, highly-stylized celebration of Friendship and Love. It is a Crime-Thriller as much as it is witty Comedy and believe it or not, it is even partly factual, based on the writings of Matt Zoller Seitz.
Chalk full of Cameos by Stars of Anderson-Films-Past, The Grand Budapest Hotel ...

#REVIEW: “300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE”
Review by Jonathan Godfrey for Mr. Will Wong
The story of Themystokles and his Athenian warships is as old as that of Leonides and his Royal Guard. Both fought valiantly against the Persians whilst they still ruled atop their Ziggurats. However, Themystokles differed from Leonidas in one regard, he wasn't a King. Themystokles was an poor Man turned Politician, the American Dream personified over two-thousand years before it was as commercialized as candy. Themystokles was and is a legend in ...

#REVIEW: “THE LEGO MOVIE”
Every once in a while an Animated Feature comes along which breaks new ground and The Lego Movie, from Director Duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), would appear to fit that description like two perfectly-compatible Blocks. Guaranteed, you've never seen anything quite like it!
Although many of us were baffled just how this Movie would work when first hearing of it being in development, any hesitations quickly are laid to rest after seeing this ...

#REVIEW: “LABOR DAY”
Labor Day is one of those Films which absolutely sticks with you long after you watch it. Based on the Novel by Joyce Maynard, Director/Writer Jason Reitman premiered the Drama-Thriller at TIFF '13 to resounding praise and it is all warranted. The Film centers around depressed, single Mother Adele (Kate Winslet), whom with her Son Henry (Gattlin Griffith) are almost coerced into providing shelter to a wounded Man named Frank (Josh Brolin), who is on-the-run after escaping a Hospital ...

#REVIEW: “THAT AWKWARD MOMENT”
Zac Efron's first crack at producing and starring simultaneously whets the appetites of his maturing Fanbase and although there is much to be desired from first-time Director Tom Gormican's Rom-Com, That Awkward Moment, it is harmless enough and has its heart in the right place.
Jason (Efron) enjoys his life as a no-strings-attached Bachelor, surrounded by his Best Friends: fearless Daniel (Miles Teller) and recently-dumped Mikey (Michael B. Jordan). The Trio shares a deep, no filter ...

#REVIEW: “STILL ALICE”
In a Résumé which has seen several superlative performances, Julianne Moore appears to be amidst another career renaissance. Critics adored her at Cannes awarding her the coveted Actress Award for her work in Maps to the Stars, and despite also premiering at TIFF '14 with slightly less fanfare, STILL ALICE now sees its release and Awards Trail begin after a carefully-timed gap. Could this be the four-time Oscar Nominee's long-overdue moment?
Based on Lisa Genova's 2007 Bestseller, STILL ...

#REVIEW: “SEX AFTER KIDS”
Sexuality often is explored in a sensual manner in Film, but Canadian Writer/Director Jeremy Lalonde opts to look at the humorous aspects of it all. At the heart of Sex After Kids are five Couples who see the flames of passion in their sex lives dwindle to a flicker following their transition to the role of Parent. Despite the humour here, what we get here is an examination of the oft-painful realities and taxing affects which are prevalent as energies are shifted while these Couples' ...

#REVIEW: “THE WOLF OF WALL STREET”
Subject matter aside, there is little not to like about Visionary Martin Scorcese's latest Masterpiece, The Wolf of Wall Street. The Film based on the Memoir by former Stockbroker-turned-Motivational Speaker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio), certainly will raise an eyebrow or two. Whether or not it consciously chooses to glamourize the copious amount of greed, womanizing and drug and alcohol-induced binges we see on-screen, admittedly we find ourselves deeply entrenched in Belfort's world. ...

#REVIEW: “FROZEN”
Every Child needs to see FROZEN. Not only for its amazing collection of Songs, breathtakingly cinematic Animation or its engaging Performances and Storyline - but more so its Message. Far too often we feed the message to young Girls that a Happy Ending involves Prince Charming's Kiss or a Wedding. Suffice it to say, we've learned our lesson and nowadays are a new breed of Animated Features like Brave and Frozen have surfaced which focus on positive values like the importance of Family ...

#REVIEW: “INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS”
The Track Record certainly has been established for brilliant and celebrated Director/Writer Duo, The Coen Brothers. Burn After Reading, True Grit, A Serious Man and No Country for Old Men firmly are imprinted in the recent memory of the Academy and Cinema Lovers. Their latest offering Inside Llewyn Davis, is a dense and multi-layered Musical Journey to New York's Folk Music Scene in the '50s, told through the eyes of a charismatic, tough-luck Musician. Don't look at it as a Film about ...
