Review by Justin Waldman for Mr. Will Wong
EPISODE ONE
While the God of Mischief enjoys messing around with the timeline, Disney/Marvel is pardon the pun, marveling in this, toying with our sleep schedules! Loki absolutely cannot be missed, and like any massive property spoilers are always on the forefront immediately after something becomes available to the public, those 3 AM EST Wednesday wakeups will now become part of the timeline for die hard fans. The first episode of Loki is incredibly heavy on the exposition, explaining what the TVA (Time Variance Authority) is, while also showing flashbacks of what has happened, specifically in relation to the titular character throughout the MCU to this point, there is still lots of laughs, emotional impact, and tidbits of things for fans to salivate after.
Loki opens-up with our Endgame scene where the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) gets the Tesseract back and transports himself away from the Avengers. He then gets captured by Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) and is charged with disrupting the timeline. Mobius (Owen Wilson) then pleas with Ravonna (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) to allow him to use Loki to catch the person messing around with the timeline.
What works with Loki, is that out of every main MCU character, he is arguably one of the only characters we haven’t really gotten to know much about as of yet and one of the most interesting characters that can be explored. Sure, we all want to know what happened in Budapest (hopefully sooner than later), but mischievous villainy is always more tantalizing.
The Cast of Loki truly are impeccable, further solidifying the powerhouse that Marvel is when it comes to their projects. Their recent TV shows (Wandavision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier) have proven that the small screen is just as important as the big screen, and Loki so far is another home run. The chemistry between Hiddleston and Wilson is so captivating and genuine, and it packs such a punch of enjoyment that will please audiences immensely.
Loki is another fantastic addition to the MCU, even if it is just the first episode the show has exceeded all expectations thus far. With as many possibilities for how this effects the rest of the universe, and the sheer brilliance of Loki this is an absolute must watch and drop what you’re doing kind of show. Bravo Marvel, you’ve done it again!

EPISODE TWO
Well, there is not much to say, but I warned you! Next Wednesday at 3 AM EST, people will be absolutely blown away, filled with anguish that they’re not able to see the final four episodes. Another month of episodes to fulfil our mischievous goals is on hand, but the second episode of Loki packs a heavy punch, revealing a few shockers that were not expected until later, and we are left with the ultimate cliffhanger.
This second episode brings us to a renaissance fair, where the Variant (another Loki) whom the TVA are looking for, has struck again. Throughout some quality detective work, a theory is launched and explored that is the main focus of the second episode. There are lots of twists and turns, and some absolute great improvised comedic bits that really help tie together the packed episode.
Things pick-up where the first episode left-off, as things continue running and never eases up. A NASCAR quality car would have trouble keeping up with the speed this show is going at! There is never a lull or dull moment throughout the first (near) two hours and this continues to prove it may be the best MCU show to date. The chemistry between Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston is magical.
Loki continues to deliver on its already strong start, delivering twists, laughs, and tons of action and lets not forget mischief. We’re hooked!
