#FIRSTLOOK: “TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA” STREAMING ON MUBI CANADA OCTOBER 2, 2026

MUBI, the global distributor, streaming service and production company, is delighted to announce that Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, the highly acclaimed new film from visionary filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair), will stream exclusively on MUBI in Canada from October 2, 2026.

The film stars Emmy Award-winning actress Hannah Einbinder (Hacks) alongside Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, Sex Education, Scoop), and features an ensemble cast including Amanda Fix, Arthur Conti, Eva Victor, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, Patrick Fischler, Dylan Baker, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Kevin McDonald, Quintessa Swindell and Jack Haven. Written and directed by Jane Schoenbrun, the film further cements the filmmaker’s reputation as one of the most distinctive voices working in contemporary cinema.

After years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is handed over to an enthusiastic young director for resurrection. But when she visits the original movie’s star, a now-reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium.

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma marks Schoenbrun’s third feature, continuing a singular body of work that explores trans identity, media mythology and queer horror through a deeply personal lens. It will stream exclusively on MUBI in Canada from October 2, 2026.
