#FIRSTLOOK: “SECRETS OF THE ICE” AND “RICH AND SINFUL: THE LOST PLEASURE PALACE OF POMPEII” COMING TO SUPER CHANNEL QUEST

This August, Super Channel Quest fans have two new premieres to dig their teeth into. On Friday, Aug 14 at 8 pm ET, two back-to-back episodes of Secrets of the Ice (10 x 60 min.) explore what remains locked beneath ice and snow—vast, frozen landscapes where time slows, evidence endures, and mysteries wait to be revealed. Then, on Tuesday, Aug 25 at 9 pm ET, Rich and Sinful: The Lost Pleasure Palace of Pompeii (1 x 90 min.)investigates Villa Oplontis near Pompeii, one of the most luxurious villas in the entire Roman Empire. Both series are available on Demand the day of premiere, with Rich and Sinful: The Lost Pleasure Palace of Pompeii available in two parts (2 x 45 min.)

In the fifth season of Secrets in the Ice, the series travels to the planet’s coldest frontiers, uncovering stories once thought lost forever. This season builds on the series’ core mission to investigate humanity’s hidden past in extreme environments. Rich and Sinful: The Lost Pleasure Palace of Pompeii examines the Bay of Naples in the first century AD, the playground of the wealthy. But one villa stands apart for its luxury and scale: Villa Oplontis, where new discoveries reveal the lives of both the elite and the enslaved, while hinting at ties to Poppaea Sabina, Nero’s second wife.
