Labour Day means not only back-to-school. It means back-to-work and some stars already are in town for TIFF '19! Joel McHale stars in independent Thriller BECKY, which is up for sale during the Festival. It was a star-studded weekend indeed in Toronto and adding further to it all were a couple stars we spotted returning back to the City to work! It's definitely Toronto's year! Local Tennis sensation Bianca Andreescu has propelled herself into stardom with at the Rogers Cup this weekend. In addition to the 19-year-old Mississauga native, the first Canadian woman in 50 years to the feat, she also now ranks number #14 on the WTA poll standings. Mark Millar and Frank Quitely's Comics JUPITER'S LEGACY gets the Netflix treatment and has been filmimg around Toronto since late June. The Series starring Josh Duhamel as leader Sheldon Sampson, centers on the original generation of superheroes who surface in the 1930s. Their descendants in the modern day however have a difficult time filling the shoes of their ancestors. #SPOTTED: SIMU LIU HOSTS TORONTO SCREENING OF “THE FAREWELL”

What a turnout! Toronto's own Simu Liu, known best for his work on Kim's Convenience, got a hero's welcome home tonight. Just this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, it was unveiled that he was cast in Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Tings, in the titular role. The Film has him starring as the first ever Asian male superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
