Universal Pictures Canada x Mr. Will want to give readers a chance to see US at an advance screening!

Screenings take place in Toronto + Montreal on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

Synopsis:
After sending shockwaves across contemporary culture with his directorial debut, GET OUT, Academy Award®-winning visionary Jordan Peele returns with another original nightmare.

Set in present day along the iconic Northern California coastline, US stars Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong’o as Adelaide Wilson, a woman returning to her beachside childhood home with her husband, Gabe (Black Panther’s Winston Duke), and their two children (Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex) for an idyllic summer getaway.

After spending a tense beach day with their friends, Adelaide and her family return to their vacation home. When darkness falls, the Wilsons discover the silhouette of four figures holding hands as they stand in the driveway. US pits an endearing American family against a terrifying and uncanny opponent: doppelgängers of themselves.

Writer and director Peele produces for his Monkeypaw Productions alongside Sean McKittrick, Jason Blum, and Ian Cooper.

Toronto Singer-Songwriter Delaney Jane has been plugging away at her craft for some time, so 2018 was a year of breakthroughs for her. Her hit Bad Habits was a staple across Canadian radio, garnering 5.4 million streams on Spotify alone. Her Track Easy Go has over 22.3 million streams on the service.

She has worked with some of Dance Music’s elite like Adventure Club, Tiesto, KSHMR and more and is said next to be collaborating with Toronto’s Zeds Dead.

Delaney Jane played two sold-out shows at The Drake Hotel Underground in Toronto and the snowstorm we experienced couldn’t stop her friends, family and fans from showing up. Sporting a ponytail, she showed her range from powerful ballads to synthy-Dance Pop and she delivered the goods live, at points overcome with emotion.

She tells the audience she worked as a waitress and even McDonald’s for two years. “It doesn’t matter if you only make a little money, just do it!” , she tells the intimate audience on following their dreams.

We got to chat with Delaney Jane quickly after her show, which saw her met with tons of selfie requests and hugs. She tells us one of her most powerful tracks, a song where she asks her love if he’d be better off if she died, still unreleased, was written in 20 minutes and as often is the case, the best songs come quickly from the heart.

She promises more shows to come in case you missed the pleasure of hearing her live. More on Delaney Jane here.

This looks thrilling. Check-out the new Trailer for STOCKHOLM starring Ethan Hawke, Noomi Rapace and Mark Strong!

Synopsis:
STOCKHOLM is based on the absurd but true story of a 1973 bank heist and hostage crisis documented in the 1974 New Yorker article “The Bank Drama” by Daniel Lang. The film follows Lars Nystrom, (Ethan Hawke) who dons a disguise to raid a central Stockholm bank. He then takes hostages in order to spring his pal Gunnar (Mark Strong) from prison. One of the hostages includes Bianca (Noomi Rapace), a wife and mother of two. Negotiations with detectives hits a wall when (at the request of the Prime Minister) the police refuse to let Lars leave in a getaway car with the hostages. As hours turn into days, Lars alternates between threatening the hostages and making them feel comfortable and secure. The hostages develop an uneasy relationship with their captor, which is particularly complex for Bianca, who develops a strong bond with Lars as she witnesses his caring nature. This connection gave rise to the psychological phenomenon known as “Stockholm Syndrome.”

February was a big month for our dear Prince and Princess with both of them being born in the month! Princess (A Pic by Mrwill) celebrated her fifth birthday on February 5th and we were so happy to throw a little party for her where’s she staying and it was an amazing afternoon seeing her out of her stall, bandages off being spoiled!

Miraculously, she still is growing and while she’s a bit sore from her stall rest, she gets her regular massages which she loves.  Emily, her Mama even showed us a few pointers how she likes to be massaged!  She tells us Princess will take a year off to get better and just enjoy life. Motherhood will be looked at next year. We’re beyond excited for her! In the meantime she enjoys her hand walks with her Mama around the barn.

See some Snaps of our day together Emily, Sheri, Billy, Princess and I:

After our celebration, she had another party with Emily and there were little Princess Cupcakes! Amazing!

… and we must introduce you to our new friend at the barn, Lincoln. He literally is the cutest and Princess adores him!

Emily sent us this beautiful candid taken by her sister, Chantelle!

Our four days in Los Angeles were nothing short of magical and our visit couldn’t have come any sooner, as we desperately needed a break from these winter blahs in Toronto! This Awards Season has been the most unpredictable ever I must say, but whether you’re a fan of GREEN BOOK, ROMA, A STAR IS BORN, THE FAVOURITE, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK or BLACK PANTHER, chances are you had to have been happy that these Films at some point along the way were recognized with awards!

While we admit this was probably our most tiring trip to the land of the stars, it definitely was the most rewarding. I’m proud of my experiences and love to share them. Meeting my idols is something I always have loved to do and will continue to for a long time! Check-out some of our Selfies from our star-studded visit to Los Angeles!

And we always enjoy our dining experiences in Los Angeles, whether it be their staple burger chain IN-N-OUT BURGER which I always make time for. Next time you visit, you must check-out The Butcher, The Baker and The Cappuccino Maker. This is the new it-spot for brunch on Sunset Boulevard. Their Mimosa Flights are a must-try as is their gorgeous Colorburst Latte! Their Eggs Benedict with Avocado and Pork Belly is the best we’ve had. EVER. We hear this place is a celeb hotspot and saw it with our own eyes! Eli Roth tells us he enjoyed his brunch a lot.

An institution since the ’80s and a huge favourite of the Kardashian family, CHIN CHIN is set to bring California-inspired Chinese cuisine to Toronto in a couple weeks with its first location ever in Canada, near Rogers Centre. We love their Orange Chicken, Chin Chin Chinese Chicken Salad, Wonton Stars (crab-filled) and Crispy Spicy Honey Shrimp. Traditional American-Chinese flavours and a West Coast freshness.
