Louisville’s Jack Harlow is going places fast. The 23-year-old Rapper has shot to stardom with Lil Nas X Collabo “Industry Baby” reaching #1 on the Billboard US Hot 100 Chart. His 2020 single “What’s Poppin” also reached #2 last year on the same chart. Above this, he’s selling-out arenas both sides of the border with his The CrĂšme De La CrĂšme Tour.
The Tour hit Drake‘s HISTORY last night, the venue just having launched last week. Drake even came out to show his support at the show last night, and following the gig, picked him up in his Maybach, bringing him and his entourage out in Yorkville for a late night dinner.
A few lucky fans got the Selfie with Harlow at the venue coming out in his SUV, out of hundreds who waited at the back for a chance to meet him.
We were able to get Harlow to look over for a quick Snap with us, which we’re grateful for, as he laid-low pretty much most of this Toronto visit. He’s come a far way since his last show here at the intimate Velvet Underground 2019.
Cool also meeting Supporting Act, THE HOMIES!
Harlow‘s next stop on his Tour is Cleveland tonight, wrapping in Indianapolis, with one more December show in L.A.

How amazing is this? TURNING RED directed by Toronto’s Domee Shi is a love letter to Canada, starring Sandra Oh, and it is an upcoming Feature from Disney and Pixar! Here’s your first look.
Synopsis:
According to âTurning Redâ director and proud Toronto native Domee Shi, if you set a 13-year-old girlâs coming-of-age story in the early 2000s, itâs pretty much mandatory to include a boy band. âWe needed our character Mei to be obsessed with something that her mom would not approve of,â said Shi. âBoy bands were the first step into the world of boys for a lot of girls that age. The guys were all super pretty, polished, soft and loving, and they had of way of bringing girls and their besties together. Plus, I thought itâd be really cool to create an animated boy band.â
Enter Pixarâs first-ever boy band, 4*Town. Filmmakers called on GRAMMYÂź-winning singer-songwriters Billie Eilish and FINNEAS to write the fictional bandâs songsâthree in total, including the song âNobody Like Uâ featured in the new trailer. âWhen we first started talking about Billie Eilish and FINNEASâback before theyâd won a billion GRAMMYSâwe could see then how they had their finger on the pulse,â said producer Lindsey Collins. âWe were big fans. We met with them and pitched this crazy idea of a boy band, asking if theyâd be interested in writing and producing the songs. They were!â
Eilish, whose sophomore album, âHappier Than Ever,â debuted at No. 1 in the Billboard 200 in the U.S. and in 19 countries worldwide, made history as the youngest artist to win in all the major categories at the 62nd GRAMMYÂź Awards, receiving an award for best new artist, album of the year, record of the year, song of the year, and best pop vocal album.
FINNEAS, the youngest ever to win the GRAMMYÂź for producer of the year (non-classical), built a sterling discography penning and producing smashes for a cadre of superstarsânot only for his sister, Billie Eilish, but also Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Tove Lo, Kid Cudi and Ben Platt, among others. His debut solo album âOptimistâ is out now.
GRAMMYÂź-, OscarÂź- and EmmyÂź-winning Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson (âBlack Panther,â âThe Mandalorianâ) is composing the score for âTurning Red.â âIâve been a fan of his for a while,â said Shi. âWe were drawn to his versatilityâheâs a composer, but he also produces pop music. We knew he would help us create a very unique sound.â
Joining previously announced Rosalie Chiang and Canadian Sandra Oh, who lend their voices to Mei and her mother Ming, are Orion Lee as the voice of Meiâs dad, Jin, and Wai Ching Ho as the voice of Grandma. Meiâs tightknit group of friends are voiced by Ava Morse as Miriam, Toronto native Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Priya, and Hyein Park as Abby. Tristan Allerick Chen voices classmate Tyler, and Addie Chandler lends his voice to Meiâs secret crush Devon. Providing the harmonious voices of the members of 4*Town are Jordan Fisher, Grayson Villanueva, Josh Levi, Topher Ngo and Finneas OâConnell. Rounding out the voice cast are James Hong, Lori Tan Chinn, Lillian Lim, Mia Tagano, Sherry Cola, Sasha Roiz and Lily Sanfelippo.
TURNING RED arrives March 11, 2022.

Hallea Jones (pronounced Huh-lee-Yah) is a star on the rise. The Toronto Actress/Singer-Songwriter has built a sizable following with the popularity of Netflix’s LOCKE & KEY in which she delivered a scene-stealing performance as the deliciously-sinister Eden Hawkins.
Britney Spears even has professed her love for the Series, which just wrapped its third season here earlier this year after delays with the Pandemic. This is a high endorsement as she rarely posts endorsements!
Jones has been a fixture on the local Music scene and has been known to pop-up at Open Mics around town including Fam Jam at Kensington Market‘s Supermarket. And trust me, she has pipes! Was cool seeing her jam on-stage, improvising with other fellow Musicians.
See our Snap below and scroll along the Carousel to see her strut her stuff! Cannot wait to see more from Jones!

Taking place post Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios’ HAWKEYE gives us a chance the explore the world of its beloved titular Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero. With Jeremy Renner reprising the role of Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Hailee Steinfeld joins him as protĂ©gĂ©e Kate Bishop and they work together to confront some of his enemies of the past. And if you’re wondering why this is being released in time for the Holidays, the goal is for Hawkeye to make this happen in time to get home to his family for Christmas.
Our Justin Waldman was fortunate enough to sit-in on a Press Conference for the upcoming Series and in-attendance were:
Jeremy Renner
Hailee Steinfeld
Vera Farmiga
Tony Dalton
Trinh Tran
Rhys ThomasÂ
Kevin Feige
Producer Kevin Feige comments on why the decision to explore more of Hawkeye in this Mini-Series.
Feige: “Well, primarily it’s Jeremy Renner. We want to see more Jeremy Renner... and more Jeremy Renner. And that goes back to the earliest days (yes, we’re both grandfathers now in the MCU), and the trust Jeremy had to jump into the MCU before Moderators said ‘Welcome to the MCU‘. It was ‘Hey! Do you want to do this thing with us and it could be really neat?’. And he said ‘yes’ and he got nominated for an Academy Award and he still said ‘yes’, and I thought that was pretty cool. But, all of the above they were relatively small obviously. Ultron we saw a little bit more. And then he just started stealing all the scenes. But it was always the intention to explore much more of the character’s history.”.
Tony Dalton plays Jack Duqesne and speaks on his relationship to the Bishop family in HAWKEYE.
Dalton: “Well he’s sort of a family friend and then he comes and falls in love Eleanor Bishop and they have a bit of a relationship. You don’t know where he’s coming from. What the hell else am I supposed to say? (laughs) You don’t wanna give away too much.”.
Vera Farmiga plays Eleanor Bishop and talks about what drew her most to the role of this mother and mentor to Kate.
Farmiga: “There’s a couple of things. I love Archery, hands down. I am an Archer. You guys don’t know this about me. My first job I played an Archer with Heath Ledger in a series called Roar where I had my bow and arrow and I’m good at it to be honest with you. If I wasn’t gonna be wielding that bow and arrow, I wanted to be next to someone with true grit and to be honest with you, I have marvelled at this young lady (Hailee Steinfeld) since that first movie. I also loved this very delicate and complex maternal relationship. It is a tricky sport raising a successful daughter, especially when the daughter and the mother have different ideas what that success means.”.
Director Rhys Thomas talks about Die Hard comparisons to Hawkeye.
Thomas: “The Holidays I think predated me. I’ll take the Die Hard feel, why not? The story of a character like Clint just trying to live his life and trouble trying to find him is a trope we all love and enjoy. That clash of family time with business time, it’s a classic combo. For me it was just wonderful to wrap my arms around that.”.
Kevin Feige comments on maybe getting to see more Avengers: The Musical throughout the Show.
Feige: “Rogers: The Musical” was an idea early on about why he comes to New York, but I loved the idea and it gave a reason for a generic Christmas in New York. Clint taking the kids, it was a Daddy weekend before Christmas. And I had met the amazing Composer Mark Shaiman at an event – and I’m not a social guy – his husband is a giant Marvel fan. It gave us context for why he is in New York, context for Clint seeing himself in a way that the world sees Hawkeye. And gave us an amazing opportunity to have a song by Mark Shaiman.”.
Hailee Steinfeld talks about building a bond with Renner and whether or not he gave her any Archery tips.
Steinfeld: “I was never gonna shoot an actual arrow. That’s the first thing he told me. And for whatever reason, it didn’t occur to me that would be the case. So that’s that. As far as bonding, we really jumped right into this thing straight into the deep end together. So we were taking it as it was coming. I felt so grateful to have his support and mentorship in real life and as Kate. We shared a lot of laughs, didn’t we?”.
Renner: “For me, I just wanted to communicate that I had her back and that there was gonna be a lot of straight things that go on. It’s different than other types of Filmmaking. I only gave her the answers if she needed them.”.
Jeremy Renner talks about the theme of Survivor’s Guilt and how that might impact Hawkeye.
Renner: “I don’t operate on Survivor Guilt. I deal with the loss. There’s a lot of things that are loss. It’s addressed in this Show, which is beautifully intimate and brings our characters closer together, as well as the audience. There’s a lot of weight that’s carried. There’s seemingly a veneer of grumpiness in his resting face, but it comes from the horrors and tragedies and loss that come with the game. Managing losses is the superhero game. The brightness and lightness that Hailee‘s character brings-in counteracts that.”.
The first two episodes of Marvel Studios’ HAWKEYE arrive on Disney+ November 24, 2021, with the Mini-Series concluding December 22, 2021.
