Many people far from logistics and the work of various courier services mistakenly believe that the parcel pickup service is not particularly difficult and responsible. In their opinion, there is nothing difficult in picking up either the documentation or the goods at the right address, getting the client’s signature, and transferring the parcel to the delivery service.
The relationship between many customers and companies largely depends on the service and the responsible attitude of the courier to his business.
If the delivery fails or is delayed, then this inevitably causes a serious blow to the company’s reputation, and the next time the client will seriously think about whether it is worth ordering parcel pick up from home for help again.
A high-professional courier must have such qualities as:
-Obligation and responsibility. Even though many courier services allow their employees to work only on working days, the courier must be ready to plan the route in such a way as to pick up all the goods on time.
-Perfect knowledge of the country. People who order courier services expect to be found and not spend a whole week running between Alberta and Quebec looking for their city. A professional courier must be well-versed in Canada and able to choose the shortest and most convenient routes.
-Communication skills. A suitable courier should be able to find a common language with any customers, even those in an irritated or angry mood. Rudeness towards customers is strictly not allowed, even in response to not the most polite treatment.
They are efficient. This is one of the main qualities that courier service employees should have. Meest courier must pick up parcels quickly and deliver them to the delivery service. Therefore sluggishness and slowness will become serious obstacles to effectively performing his duties.
Thanks to people who fully possess all of the above qualities, wishing to order courier pick-up correspondence or cargo is increasing. Meest and CANPAR partners appreciate professional couriers and are ready to reward them for the quality performance of their duties regularly.
INK Entertainment Group and Dream Office REIT (TSX:D.UN) (“Dream”) are proud to announce their new collaboration, Daphne, a tantalizing American concept restaurant and bar, located at 67 Richmond St. West, in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District.
Daphne is a partnership between hospitality and entertainment powerhouse INK Entertainment Group and one of Canada’s leading real estate companies, Dream. This is the first partnership between the two established companies as they look to revitalize and bring the energy and zeal back to the Financial District. With a shared vision to establish the Alleyway, a vibrant outdoor destination that transforms a series of back laneways and features elevated seating and lounge spaces. Creating indoor-outdoor connections, Dream and INK Entertainment aspire to set a new standard for hospitality in this renowned neighbourhood.
“We’re proud to bring a fresh rendition of an American-style restaurant, positioned at the heart of the Financial District’s revitalization. With a shared vision to create something special for the city, we’re looking forward to creating an elevated culinary destination as part of the Alleyway project, says Charles Khabouth, CEO, INK Entertainment.
Dream’s ambitious plan for the Financial District, through its Dream Collection – Financial District, seeks to redefine the area’s identity and create a new destination that will captivate visitors and residents alike.
“More than a workplace destination, the Financial District is a hospitality hub for Toronto. It’s been an honour to partner with INK Entertainment and Studio Paolo Ferrari to bridge our city’s rich heritage with iconic design and top hospitality experiences,” adds Krystal Koo, Head of Sales and Marketing of Dream.
Opening on June 22, Daphne is a modern American style restaurant and garden terrace totalling over 8,000 sq. ft., and serving as the flagship space in the Alleyway. The one-of-a-kind restaurant is nestled among Toronto’s high-rises, bounded by Bay Street to the east, Temperance Street to the south and Richmond Street to the north. This marks INK’s first foray into the Financial District, building on its vast expertise after helming some of the most iconic brands in hospitality – including restaurants Amal, Byblos and Sofia Yorkville as well as the Bisha Hotel.
Daphne offers American cuisine with a contemporary twist, skillfully curated by Executive Chef John Chee (previously at Patois, Shook, Patria). The menu showcases a delectable selection of seasonal American classics, complemented by an array of small bites, handcrafted cocktails, and an extensive wine list, all presented within an elegant and modern ambiance. At the heart of the culinary offerings are two authentic wood-fired grills, infusing a distinct flavor into each dish. Locally sourced ingredients, along with local and imported seafood, are expertly grilled over live coals, ensuring a tantalizing dining experience. Each dish is thoughtfully enhanced with the addition of seasonal produce, while the bakery crafts artisanal breads by hand.
Complementary to each dish is the carefully curated wine collection which highlights the benchmarks of American winemaking. Paying homage to its famous West Coast heritage, it also incorporates classic old-world regions that have stood the test of time. The cocktails, designed by Daphne’s Mixologist Nishan Chandra, emphasize the ingredients and taste of Americana that serve notes of nostalgia and the comfort of tradition with each sip.
The design of the Alleyway and Daphne is being led by the visionary interior design firm, Studio Paolo Ferrari with a contemporary and eclectic reimagining of the quintessential American bistro. With his vast portfolio in designing beautiful, upscale commercial spaces in sought-after international markets like Dubai, Ferrari’s vision for the restaurant is poised at a natural tension of eras. Sprawling, expansive, and set across a series of distinctive rooms, Daphne embodies the unexpected while also bringing in the warmth and nostalgia of New England prep. Furnishings and lighting are entirely custom-designed by Studio Paolo Ferrari, from the elegant pinstripe seating in the drawing room to the artful polished metal host station. Extending out from the interiors is a sprawling garden terrace, filled with plants and abundant soft seating that encourages lounging. As guests journey through the multi-room space, unexpected touches and details evoke wonder and awe, reminiscent of the mannerism you would expect to find in a grand private residence.
Daphne is located at 67 Richmond St. West and will be open for lunch and dinner Monday to Thursday between 11:30 a.m to 10 p.m., Fridays between 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. starting June 22. Advance reservations can now be made via OpenTable.

Synopsis:
Sometimes the hero you are meant to be lies just beneath the surface.
This summer, DreamWorks Animation dives into the turbulent waters of high school with a hilarious, heartfelt action comedy about a shy teenager who discovers that she’s part of a legendary royal lineage of mythical sea krakens and that her destiny, in the depths of the oceans, is bigger than she ever dreamed.
Sweet, awkward 16-year-old Ruby Gillman (Lana Condor, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise) is desperate to fit in at Oceanside High, but she mostly just feels invisible. She’s math-tutoring her skater-boy crush (Jaboukie Young-White, Ralph Breaks the Internet), who only seems to admire her for her fractals, and she’s prevented from hanging out with the cool kids at the beach because her over-protective supermom (Oscar® nominee Toni Collette, Knives Out), has forbade Ruby from ever getting in the water.
But when she breaks her mom’s #1 rule, Ruby will discover that she is a direct descendant of the warrior Kraken queens and is destined to inherit the throne from her commanding grandmother (Academy Award® winner Jane Fonda), the Warrior Queen of the Seven Seas.
The Kraken are sworn to protect the oceans of the world against the vain, power-hungry mermaids who have been battling with the Kraken for eons. There’s one major, and immediate, problem with that: The school’s beautiful, popular new girl, Chelsea (Emmy winner Annie Murphy, Schitt’s Creek) just happens to be a mermaid. Ruby will ultimately need to embrace who she is and go big to protect those she loves most.
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken stars an extraordinary cast that includes Emmy winner Colman Domingo (Fear the Walking Dead) as Ruby’s supportive dad, Emmy nominee Sam Richardson (Veep) as Ruby’s enthusiastic uncle and Blue Chapman (Council of Dads) as Ruby’s cool little brother.
Directed by Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker Kirk DeMicco (Vivo, The Croods) and produced by Kelly Cooney Cilella, p.g.a. (Trolls World Tour, Trolls), with Faryn Pearl (TheCroods: A New Age, Trolls World Tour) serving as co-director, the film features a comedic powerhouse supporting cast, including Emmy nominee Will Forte (The Last Manon Earth), Emmy nominee Nicole Byer (Nailed It!), YouTube Diamond creator Liza Koshy (Liza on Demand), Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever), Eduardo Franco (StrangerThings), Echo Kellum (Arrow), and award-winning social media creator and podcaster Emma Chamberlain (Anything Goes podcast).
The film is written by Emmy winning South Park producer Pam Brady (Lady Dynamite) and Brian C Brown (Briarpatch) & Elliott DiGuiseppi (Lucy in the Sky). The executive producer is Mike Mitchell (director of next year’s Kung Fu Panda 4) and the co-producer is Rachel Zusser (associate producer, The Croods: A New Age).

I’m actually still mad that things didn’t work out between Richard Wright and Samantha Jones in Sex and the City! They were good for another… till he cheated!
Screen Veteran James Remar continues to have a remarkable career spanning the ’70s till current. If you don’t know him from Sex and the City, surely you know him in celebrated series DEXTER as the titular character’s Dad, Harry Morgan or on BLACK LIGHTNING as Peter Gambi.
Toronto is so lucky to have Remar in-town right now working on upcoming IT Prequel Series, WELCOME TO DERRY. Scheduled to arrive on MAX in 2024, the Series continues to film in and around Toronto and details are under wraps. It will continue to film in these parts till around Christmas.
We spotted Remar by complete accident and he was so amazing to walk over to say “hi”. Such a legend. Super happy about this surprise!
