Multi-hyphenate Artist Machine Gun Kelly surprised Toronto, appearing at Sunrise Records Square One in support of his latest album, Lost Americana. This seventh studio Disc is out August 8, 2025 via Universal Music Canada and he has the distinction of having icon Bob Dylan voice the Album’s Trailer – a super-rare feat!
MGK arrived in Toronto today after a busy few days of press in New York, including an appearance on Jimmy Fallon, stopping by to meet fans and pose for Photos later in the afternoon in Mississauga. He then played a surprise set at famed Horseshoe Tavern, limiting it to 300 fans who were lucky enough to attend!
Above this, MGK has a collaboration launching August 8th also at PRINCE STREET PIZZA, packing starpower, but also heat! He had a hand in designing this together with PSP‘s pizza mastery. The pizza box also is inspired by Lost Americana. We had the chance to try it. Delicious!
We are thrilled finally to have met this brilliant talent and we were so flattered that he complimented our outfit. It was amazing seeing him take the time to interact with approximately 200 fans who scored wristbands by pre-ordering the Album ahead. We genuinely are a fan of his, no matter if he’s singing, rapping or acting.

From Oscar® winner Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions, producers of the landmark horror films Get Out, Us, Candyman and Nope, comes a chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, idolatry and the pursuit of excellence at any cost, featuring an electrifying dramatic performance from Marlon Wayans (Air, Respect). HIM stars former college wide-receiver Tyriq Withers (Atlanta, the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer) as Cameron Cade, a rising-star quarterback who has devoted his life, and identity, to football. Just when all seems lost, Cam receives a lifeline when his hero, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), a legendary eight-time Championship quarterback and cultural megastar, offers to train Cam at Isaiah’s isolated compound that he shares with his celebrity influencer wife, Elsie White (Julia Fox; Uncut Gems, No Sudden Move). But as Cam’s training accelerates, Isaiah’s charisma begins to curdle into something darker, sending his protégé down a disorienting rabbit hole that may cost him more than he ever bargained for.
The film features a dynamic supporting cast including alternative comedy legend Tim Heidecker (First Time Female Director, Us) and Australian comic Jim Jefferies (The Jim Jefferies Show), plus MMA heavyweight fighter Maurice Greene and hip hop phenoms Guapdad 4000 and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack, all three in their feature film debuts. Apple Original Films’ action-packed, captivating thrill ride “F1® The Movie,” the biggest original box office blockbuster of 2025, is racing back to the biggest screens. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and following its debut as the #1 movie at the global box office, “F1® The Movie” will be re-released in IMAX by popular audience demand. Tickets are on-sale now for select theatres and showtimes beginning Friday, August 8, 2025, with plans to expand further into IMAX locations and large formats worldwide Friday, August 15.
Filmed for IMAX and featuring an unparalleled cinematic experience, “F1® The Movie” is the highest grossing original feature of the year, and recently crossed over $552 million at the global box office, making it Brad Pitt’s highest grossing feature to date. The film boasts an A CinemaScore, along with a soaring 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and continues to fuel wide acclaim as the most authentic racing feature ever made. Presented entirely in IMAX-exclusive expanded aspect ratio, “F1® The Movie” is also the highest grossing Hollywood film of the year in IMAX with $85 million and counting in global box office. “F1® The Movie” vastly outperformed in IMAX, with IMAX screens accounting for 23% of the film’s North American opening weekend and over 19% of its global debut.
“Audiences around the world have embraced ‘F1® The Movie’ as an adrenaline-pumping, big screen experience, and its re-release in IMAX is a testament to the global popularity of the film,” said Matt Dentler, head of features, Apple Original Films. “Joe, Jerry, Brad, Lewis and the visionary team behind ‘F1® The Movie’ have delivered a summer blockbuster that blends heart with action, and we can’t wait to give moviegoers another chance to see it in IMAX.”
Jeff Goldstein, President, Warner Bros. Pictures Global Distribution stated, “With ‘F1® The Movie,’ audiences around the world headed to theatres in droves to witness FORMULA 1 racing like never before, and it showed at the box office. So, together with our partners at Apple Original Films and IMAX, we jumped at the opportunity to give fans another go-round—or to experience it for the first time—via IMAX’s premiere screens and sound, before summer is over.”
“Every element of ‘F1® The Movie’ — the visuals, the sound, the gripping storytelling anchored by larger-than-life performances — makes excellent use of the IMAX Experience, and it’s no wonder it’s our highest grossing Hollywood film of the year,” said Rich Gelfond, CEO of IMAX. “We know ‘F1® The Movie’ still has plenty of gas in the tank and audiences will come back again to experience it as intended in IMAX.”
Beyond the box office, “F1® The Movie” has ignited a global music phenomenon with F1® The Album, the star-studded, high-octane soundtrack that has surged past 600,000 albums sold worldwide and is nearing 1 billion global streams. Currently dominating Billboard’s Top Movie Songs chart with seven of the top ten tracks, the album is powered by Tate McRae’s two-time VMA-nominated smash hit “Just Keep Watching.” With over 4 billion views across short-form video platforms, F1® The Album has become a defining music moment of 2025 and a vital part of the film’s cultural impact.
From Apple Original Films and the filmmakers from “Top Gun: Maverick” comes the high-octane feature film “F1® The Movie,” starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, seven-time FORMULA 1® world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman.
Dubbed “the greatest that never was,” Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was FORMULA 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he’s a nomadic racer-for-hire when he’s approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling FORMULA 1 team that is on the verge of collapse. Ruben convinces Sonny to come back to FORMULA 1 for one last shot at saving the team and being the best in the world. He’ll drive alongside Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the team’s hotshot rookie intent on setting his own pace. But as the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him and he finds that in FORMULA 1, your teammate is your fiercest competition—and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.
“F1® The Movie” also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem, and was shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competed against the titans of the sport.
Kosinski directs from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, story by Kosinski & Kruger. The film is executive produced by Daniel Lupi. Collaborating with Kosinski behind the scenes are his creative team, including director of photography Claudio Miranda, production designers Mark Tildesley and Ben Munro, editor Stephen Mirrione, costume designer Julian Day, casting director Lucy Bevan and composer Hans Zimmer.
Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. Pictures Present A Monolith Pictures / Jerry Bruckheimer / Plan B Entertainment / Dawn Apollo Films Production, A Joseph Kosinski Film, “F1® The Movie,” distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Partnering with Apple Original Films and the filmmakers, “F1® The Movie” was shot with more than a dozen newly designed IMAX-certified digital cameras strategically positioned to capture the speed, precision, and intensity of racing like never before, including Brad Pitt driving at 180 mph. The film is presented entirely in IMAX’s exclusive 1.90:1 expanded aspect ratio and with a custom sound mix tailored to IMAX’s acoustician-designed sound system, featuring the industry’s largest speakers, laser-aligned for pinpoint audio precision. Director Joseph Kosinski worked closely with IMAX, including reviewing camera tests at IMAX HQ during pre-production, and made specific creative and technical decisions to deliver a movie designed for the IMAX Experience®.

Today, Walt Disney Studios announced that the filmed version of the original Broadway production of the Tony®, GRAMMY®, Emmy®, and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “Hamilton” will open in theatres on September 5, 2025.
The theatrical release of “Hamilton” expands upon the Emmy Award®-winning version available on Disney+ with the inclusion of “Reuniting the Revolution,” an exclusive special prologue to the film featuring all-new interviews with the original cast and creators as they reflect on the impact the show has had on their lives.
“When we filmed ‘Hamilton,’ we wanted to try to capture the feeling of being in the Richard Rodgers Theatre during that first year on Broadway,” says director/producer Thomas Kail, “and we’re thrilled that audiences will now have the opportunity to experience it on the big screen.”
To celebrate the theatrical release of “Hamilton,” a special premiere screening event will take place Wednesday, September 3, at the newly revitalized Delacorte Theater, home of The Public Theater’s Free Shakespeare in the Park. A limited number of advance tickets will be available for a donation beginning August 11. A free ticket lottery distribution will be available at The Public Theater on September 3, as well as a free standby line in Central Park prior to the screening’s start. More information at PublicTheater.org. All advance ticket donations will benefit The Public Theater, where “Hamilton” originally debuted in 2015 before transferring to Broadway.
“Hamilton” will be released in theatres in Canada on September 5.
An unforgettable cinematic stage performance, the filmed version of the original Broadway production of “Hamilton” combines the best elements of live theatre and film to create a thrilling experience. “Hamilton” is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, “Hamilton” has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.
Filmed at The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June of 2016, the film transports its audience into the world of the Broadway show in a uniquely intimate way. With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and direction by Thomas Kail, “Hamilton” is inspired by the book “Alexander Hamilton” by Ron Chernow and produced by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Jeffrey Seller, with Sander Jacobs and Jill Furman serving as executive producers. Filming was produced by RadicalMedia. The 11-time-Tony Award®-, GRAMMY Award®-, Olivier Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning stage musical stars: Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Jonathan Groff as King George; Christopher Jackson as George Washington; Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton; Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr; Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison; Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton; and Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton.
THE PUBLIC continues the work of its visionary founder, Joe Papp, as a civic institution engaging, both on-stage and off, with some of the most important ideas and social issues of today. Conceived over 60 years ago as one of the nation’s first nonprofit theatres, The Public has long operated on the principles that theatre is an essential cultural force, and that art and culture belong to everyone. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Patrick Willingham, The Public’s wide breadth of programming includes an annual season of new work at its landmark home at Astor Place, Free Shakespeare in the Park at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park, the Mobile Unit touring throughout New York City’s five boroughs, Public Lab, Public Works, Public Shakespeare Initiative, and Joe’s Pub. Since premiering HAIR in 1967, The Public continues to create the canon of American Theater and is currently represented on Broadway by the Tony Award®-winning musicals Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Hell’s Kitchen by Alicia Keys and Kristoffer Diaz. Their programs and productions can also be seen regionally across the country and around the world. The series debuts exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, with new episodes released weekly.
Blending a witty behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment world with heartfelt romance, Nice to Not Meet You follows the unlikely connection between Lim Hyeon-jun (Lee Jung-jae), a typecast actor yearning for a fresh start in melodramas, and Wi Jeong-sin (Lim Ji-yeon), a decorated political journalist suddenly reassigned to the entertainment desk. What begins as a clash of personalities unfolds into a story full of charm, laughter, and unexpected chemistry.
Lee Jung-jae, riding a wave of global popularity following his breakout international success in Squid Game, portrays Hyeon-jun, a seasoned actor stuck in the role of Kang Pil-gu—the beloved protagonist of a hit detective series now heading into its fifth season. While his career is thriving, he dreams of breaking free from the mold and proving himself in a more emotionally rich role.
Lim Ji-yeon stars as Wi Jeong-sin, a hard-hitting journalist whose award-winning political coverage is abruptly sidelined. Directed by Kim Ga-ram (Good Partner, Nevertheless) and written by Jung Yeo-rang (Doctor Cha), Nice to Not Meet You delivers a refreshing mix of humour, heart, and industry satire.
