Paramount+ released the official trailer for the second season of Academy Award® nominee Taylor Sheridan’s original drama series 1923, starring Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford and Academy Award winner Helen Mirren.

The second season of 1923 will premiere Sunday, February 23, 2025 exclusively on Paramount+.

In addition to Ford and Mirren, 1923 stars Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton and Jennifer Carpenter.

In the second season of 1923, a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.

Toronto International Film Festival and Rogers are pleased to announce a three-year agreement that will see Rogers return as the official Presenting Partner of the Festival and the People’s Choice Award through 2027.

Uiksaringitara (Wrong Husband), the latest feature film by award-winning Canadian Inuit director, Zacharias Kunuk, starring newcomers Theresia Kappianaq, Haiden Angutimarik, and Dion Amarualik, along with Leah Panimera and Mark Taggaugaq, will have its world premiere at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival on February 16, 2025 it’s main premiere venue, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, at 4pm CET.

Best known for his 2001 feature film Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner, winner of the 2001 Camera d’Or and voted Canada’s Best Film of All Time by the TIFF Film Critic Poll in 2015, Kunuk is considered one of the pioneers of Indigenous cinema, having directed five feature films and over 40 documentaries all in Inuktitut.

Filmed on location in Nunavut during the 24hr daylight of the arctic tundra, the film combines meticulous attention to detail with a meditative cinema-verité observational style and applies it to creating immersive historical drama that transport audiences into a world that they have never seen before.

Zacharias Kunuk is the co-founder Igloolik Isuma Productions Inc. In addition to his feature Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner (2001 Cannes Camera d’Or, “Best Canadian Film of all-time” TIFF Film Critic Poll), Kunuk has directed more than 30 documentaries and feature films including The Journals of Knud Rasmussen, Maliglutit (Searchers), and the Oscar-shortlisted animation film Angakusajaujuq (The Shaman’s Apprentice). MUFASA: THE LION KING reclaims the top spot this weekend with $12 million from 3,555 theatres for Disney. This brings its North America run to $210.5 million over five weekends.

Debuting in second is ONE OF THEM DAYS with $11 million from 2,675 theatres for Sony Pictures. The Buddy Comedy starring SZA and Keke Palmer gets a stellar 96% on the Tomatometer.

Third is WOLF MAN with $10.5 million from 3,354 theatres for Universal Pictures. This Horror starring Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner, gets 53% on the Tomatometer.
