Just say the words “KATY PERRY” and we’re there. H&M has just released some new images from the top-earning Megastar’s holiday campaign. A full-length commercial is set to surface Monday, November 23, 2015 here.
The campaign, shot by famed photographer/director Jonas Åkerlund showcases Perry being adorable as usual and from what we can see that Elfie Selfie sweatshirt looks to be a hot-seller, as well as that red ribbon T-shirt. We really love that festive Ski Chalet sweater Perry‘s sporting also.
For every specially-designed Gift Card you purchase at H&M this holiday season, 5% of proceeds will go to UNICEF in aid of the children of Myanmar.
H&M‘s Holiday Collection hits stores mid-November.

19-year-old singer/songwriter Alessia Cara certainly is a star on-the-rise. And if some of her famous fanbase counts for anything, you can expect this Brampton native to among the biggest and best. For one, Taylor Swift can’t stop singing her praises on Social Media and she even joined the Pop Queen on-stage on the Tampa leg of her 1989 tour.
If you listen to radio, Cara‘s debut single Here has been impossible to ignore since surfacing this summer. It is one of those rare tracks that has a crossover appeal to Alternative, Urban and Top 40 audiences, getting lots of support locally before the likes of Ellen DeGeneres began championing it. Here reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, impressive for any new artist, let a long a girl with a guitar from Brampton.
Cara is now set to release her debut disc Know-It-All via Universal Music Canada/Def Jam Recordings, later this week and she has been hard at work in the city yesterday and today promoting the album which she finally got her hands on today when appearing at KISS 92.5 on The Roz & Mocha Show, where she played a cover of Nick Jonas‘ hit Levels acoustically.
We got a quick Selfie with Cara as she head in and she was amazingly-nice and friendly to take a minute to stop with an action-packed day ahead. We are expecting big things ahead and know we’ll look back at today as a blessing before she fills arenas one day.

The airwaves of the early 2000s for us were filled with Punk-Pop-Rock acts and one of the biggest ones was Montreal outfit Simple Plan. The band responsible for hits like Welcome to my Life and I’d Do Anything are still going strong and in Toronto today promoting a new single. In an unlikely pairing, Simple Plan is releasing I Don’t Want to go to Bed (ft. Nelly) and toured the morning show circuit earlier today, covering many outlets like The Morning Show, Breakfast Television and KISS 92.5.
From the band, we met Pierre Bouvier and drummer Chuck Comeau, who were more than nice to stop quickly for a snap before heading off after a 6 AM appearance at Breakfast Television.
Check-out the ’90s-inspired video below:

Fans of the ROCKY franchise will be thrilled to see its latest installment, as our favourite on-screen boxer Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) passes on the torch in mentoring the son of his colleague Apollo Creed in Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan).
The stars of the Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station) penned and directed Film are in Toronto on a 24-hour whirlwind Press Day which saw them surprise fans at a private screening of Creed last night, introducing the drama at TIFF Bell Lightbox. And fans took to Instagram and Twitter expressing their shock and delight and later in the evening! We hear the Trio were spotted at a hot sports bar where Jordan caught-up on his football.
Loved CREED!! Go see the movie! #CreedMovie @michaelb4jordan @TThompsonYES https://t.co/5DjhQvofF7

Coogler reunites here with up-and-coming Jordan after phenomenal acclaim on their 2013 drama Fruitvale Station. Stunning actress Tessa Thompson (Dear White People, Selma) also is a part of the tour, playing the role of Bianca in Creed. Despite quickly zipping by, we caught-up with the Trio earlier today and it was amazing getting a snap with Jordan who promised to do one on his way out after being in a rush. Thompson was relaxed and kindly stopped for a photo, while Coogler was enjoying his morning coffee as he geared-up what looks to be a long day as they visit the next city on their promo tour later today. Be sure to check-out their interview on The Roz & Mocha Show tomorrow on KISS 92.5. Later in the day, the Trio headed to Queen Alexandra Middle School, attending an assembly with 250+ students without warning and drawing cheers as they donated $5,000 to their current fundraiser campaign.

Not that there ever was any doubt, but SPECTRE, the latest in the 007 franchise, debuts atop the Box Office in its North American debut this weekend. It earns $74 million for Sony Pictures from 3,929 theatres. By comparison, 2012’s Skyfall which also opened in November, opened with $88 million, ranking this second in the franchise for biggest opening. Critically, it gets mixed reviews with a 62% on the Tomatometer and an A- CinemaScore from audiences, giving it hopefully enough legs to run on in coming weeks.
Debuting in second is THE PEANUTS MOVIE with $45 million from 3,897 theatres for 20th Century Fox. Critics are lauding it with an 86% on the Tomatometer and Audiences agree it’s great with an A CinemaScore.
Former champ THE MARTIAN lands in third this weekend, still going strong in its sixth week out with $9 million, edging oh-so-close to that $200 million-mark domestically for 20th Century Fox.
GOOSEBUMPS is in fourth spot with $6.6 million for Sony Pictures, now in its fourth week out. It has made $66 million thus far in its run in North America.
BRIDGE OF SPIES is in fifth with $6.1 million for DreamWorks, now in its third week at about $55 million total.
THE INTERN continues to perform well now in its seventh week out, with $1.7 million for Warner Bros., surpassing the $70 million-mark.
Rounding-out the Top Ten is OUR BRAND IS CRISIS with $1.5 million, now in its second week out for Warner Bros.
In case you missed it, a new Teaser Trailer for Quentin Tarantino‘s new opus THE HATEFUL EIGHT, has just rolled-out. We get an even better look at what we should be seeing this Christmas Day. All 2:20 minutes of it.
Synopsis:
In THE HATEFUL EIGHT, set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as “The Hangman,” will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town’s new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie‘s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie’s, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces. Bob (Demian Bichir), who’s taking care of Minnie’s while she’s visiting her mother, is holed up with Oswaldo Mobray (Tim Roth), the hangman of Red Rock, cow-puncher Joe Gage (Michael Madsen), and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside stopover, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all…
