The SoHo Hotel Toronto remains the choice as the place to stay in the City. Whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway, an overnight stay for a game or a show, or visiting for a festival like the Toronto International Film Festival (tiff), it doesn’t get better than this. Situated just steps from the CN Tower, Rogers Centre and Metro Toronto Convention Centre, its convenience of proximity already is a huge win – but wait till you experience their service and amenities. There are reasons why this Hotel continues to receive top scores over and again, in customer satisfaction.
I stayed at the SoHo Hotel Toronto during tiff and now with TIFF: The Market basing itself at Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and all the red carpet bustle and festivities taking place along King Street, I was in a prime position to enjoy and cover the Festival, plus of course, see the stars all within a quick walk! I also appreciated the ease of parking with in-out privileges, and license plate recognition making that possible during my stay for the handful of times I had to drive.
The Hotel offers large hotel rooms, but for longer-term stays, they have luxury apartment rentals, which are known to be occupied by talent who are in-town filming. In addition to a litany of stars having stayed at the Hotel in the past, including the likes of Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Will Smith, Charlie Hunnam, Shania Twain and several more, did you know red-hot Hudson Williams filmed scenes in the hotel during season one of Heated Rivalry? They also offer meeting and conference spaces. We had the pleasure of staying in one of their beautifully-maintained and spacious luxury apartments.
SoHo Hotel Toronto is central to some fantastic restaurants, just minutes away from all the amazing food options at The Well. The Hotel also houses the excellent Moretti Caffe and Pizzeria Moretti, in addition to offering in-room dining as well. Luxury apartments are equipped with in-suite laundry and kitchens too.
Also available to guests are a Saltwater pool and extensive health club facilities, with great equipment selection to choose from for your workouts.
Just this year, SoHo Hotel Toronto underwent a lobby renovation, which looks fantastic and ambient, showcasing a unique digital art collection from globally-renowned artists. This certainly was the trendy spot to stay at tiff as I saw many TikTokers – some who are my friends – pass through the lobby when I had to visit the Hotel’s amazingly-attentive staff. Did you know the Hotel even offers Clefs d’Or personal concierge services?
A dealbreaker for me in accommodations is their pet-friendliness. As you all know, beanie travels with me and comes with me on my TV appearances and star-sighting adventures occasionally. Upon check-in, we were pleased to see a mat and bowls placed out for her. The big windows and bright views in our suite made her feel right at home and she loved our cozy King-size bed, making it really challenging actually for me to get her out of bed to go on our morning walks. I equally was guilty of not wanting to get up as well, I might add!
This brings us to our next point, it was so helpful having Clarence Square right beside the hotel and this is something I actually have come to really appreciate. This is a very dog-friendly space with an enclosed area for dogs to run around under their parents’ supervision. Often I visit other cities like New York where greenery is actually harder to come across. Imagine having to walk for blocks to get to a patch of grass. I am just grateful for this.
