Today, Disney+ announced that the Hulu Original drama series “Furious” has been renewed for a second season. The first season of the critically acclaimed thriller from creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriwether, and star and executive producer Emmy Rossum, is streaming now on Hulu on Disney+ in Canada, with the season finale on Monday, August 31, 2026.
The series has been gaining momentum with viewership growing week over week. Views for episode 7 were up 40% from the premiere (based on 1 day views). The series was Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 100% on its day of launch, and has held strong at 98%.
“Furious” follows an FBI agent, Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) on the hunt for a mysterious and calculating female serial killer (Lola Petticrew). Both walk their own paths toward justice, and as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur.
The series was created, written and executive produced by Elizabeth Meriwether. Emmy Rossum executive produced for Composition 8, along with Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead, and Sam Hoffman. Brian Kirk executive produced and directed episodes 101 and 102. The series is produced by 20th Television and Searchlight Television.
Season one stars Emmy Rossum, Lola Petticrew, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, and Scoot McNairy, along with guest stars Jake Lacy, Rob Delaney, Hope Davis, Rob Yang and Steve Way.
