HALLOWEEN KILLS slashes its way to the #1 spot at the Box Office in its debut this weekend for Universal Pictures, with $50.1 million from 3,705 theatres. While it doesn’t quite surpass the success of 2018’s HALLOWEEN which debuted with $76.2 million in its opening weekend, the feat still is impressive considering the times we are in. Critics gave this one a 36% on the Tomatometer.
In second spot is NO TIME TO DIE with $24.4 million in its second week, a total domestic run of $99.7 million for Universal Pictures.
Third is VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE with $16 million from 4,013 theatres, a three week total of $167.8 million for Sony Pictures.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY 2 lands in fourth with $6.7 million, a three week total of $41.8 million for Universal Pictures.
THE LAST DUEL directed by Ridley Scott (who also has House of Gucci later this year) and starring buddies Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, rounds-out the Top Five with $5 million from 3,065 theatres for 20th Century Studios. Critics raved with an 86% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Daniel Craig‘s swan song in the BOND franchise lands on a high note with NO TIME TO DIE debuting on-top with $60 million from 4,407 theatres across North America for Universal Pictures. Despite clocking-in at almost three hours, the longest running time ever for a BOND film, Critics certainly had time for it, giving it 84% on the Tomatometer.
In second is last week’s champ, VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE with $31.1 million from 4,225 theatres for Sony Pictures, a two week total of $140 million over two weeks. Very impressive.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY 2 checks-in third with $9.8 million from 4,207 theatres for Universal Pictures, a two-week run of $31 million.
Fourth spot goes to SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE RINGS earning $4.2 million for Disney/Marvel. Its six week gross is $215 million.
Rounding-out the Top Five is THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK, with $1.5 million from 3,181 theatres, a two-week total of $7.5 million.
VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE devastates in its debut at the Box Office this weekend, taking top spot with $90.1 million from 4,225 theatres, a best opening during the Pandemic. This outdoes its 2018 predecessor which opened with $80.3 million for Sony Pictures. Critics gave this 59% on the Tomatometer.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY 2 debuts in second spot with $15.8 million from 4,207 theaters for Universal Pictures. This installment gets 27% on the Tomatometer from Critics. The previous film in 2019 made $30 million opening weekend.
THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK, a Prequel to The Sopranos, earns $7 million from 3,181 theaters for Warner Bros. The Drama gets a passing 74% on the Tomatometer.
Four week champion SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS makes $5.8 million this weekend, bringing its five week tally to $205.9 million for Marvel/Disney.
DEAR EVAN HANSEN rounds-out the Top Five with $2.4 million for Universal Pictures. Its two week run has seen $11.7 million domestically.

Great news! Bill Hader and Javon Walton have joined the Cast of THE ADDAMS FAMILY 2. Hader voices a new character, Cyrus, while Walton will voice the youngest Addams sibling! While it won’t be out till later next year, here’s a little sneak peek to get us excited!

JOKER returns to the top spot once again at the Box Office this weekend with $17.7 million from 3,936 theatres for Warner Bros. This brings its four week tally to $276.3 million.
In second spot his last week’s queen, MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL with $15.9 million, a total of $62.8 million over two weeks for Disney in North America.
Third goes to ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP with $12.2 million for Sony Pictures, a two week total of $47.6 million.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY gets fourth with $10 million for Universal Pictures, a total $71 million in its third week out.
COUNTDOWN debuts in fifth for STX Entertainment/Elevation Pictures with $8 million from 2,675 theatres. The Thriller gets 23% on the Tomatometer and C+ CinemaScore.
BLACK AND BLUE opens in sixth with $6 million for Sony Pictures. The Cop Action-Drama gets 46% on the Tomatometer.
At the bottom of the Top Ten is THE LIGHTHOUSE with $2 million for A24/VVS Films, playing at just 586 theatres. The Robert Eggers film starring Robert Pattinson, gets 91% on the Tomatometer.
JOKER is still laughing, taking top spot at the Box Office with $45.8 million from 4,374 theatres in its second week. Its run takes it to $137 million in North America for Warner Bros.
In second is THE ADDAMS FAMILY, debuting with $30 million from 4,007 theatres for Universal Pictures. It gets 42% on the Tomatometer and a B+ CinemaScore.
GEMINI MAN opens in third with $20 million from 3,642 theatres for Paramount Pictures. It gets 26% on Rotten Tomatoes and a better B+ CinemaScore from Audiences.
ABONIMABLE lands in fourth with $7.7 million, a total $49.5 million over three weeks for Universal Pictures.
JEXI debuts with $3.5 million from 2,332 theatres for CBS Films/eOne Films. It gets 15% on the Tomatometer and a B- CinemaScore.
AD ASTRA rounds-out the Top Ten with $2 million for 20th Century Fox/Disney.
