#NEWMUSIC: KARAN AUJLA X ONEREPUBLIC NEW SINGLE “TELL ME”

Internationally acclaimed Punjabi powerhouse Karan Aujla is continuing to break down borders by collaborating with GRAMMY® nominated chart topping American pop superstars OneRepublic for their upcoming single “Tell Me”, produced by preeminent South Asian producer Ikky, out now!

The song premiered on Apple Music 1’s New Music Daily Radio Show with Zane Lowe featuring Karan Aujla and Ryan Tedder.

Aujla has just extended his global recording deal with Warner Music Canada and Warner Music India.

Karan Aujla says “Working with OneRepublic has been a dream of mine for years, so this collaboration is a big deal. Karan Aujla was the most streamed Punjabi artist on Spotify globally in 2024. His most recent album Making Memories captured global attention, while generating over 2 billion streams, a milestone that was celebrated while Karan was on a sold-out world tour which attracted an audience of more than 500,000 people.

His song “Tauba Tauba” launched Karan into Bollywood as he teamed up with actor Vicky Kaushal for the film Bad Newz. The track quickly became one of the biggest songs in India in 2024. In addition to his breakout Bollywood moment, Karan also took home the International Trendsetter Award at the International India Film Academy Awards. These successes follow an incredible year of firsts, including Karan becoming the first South Asian artist to win the TikTok JUNO Fan Choice award at the 2024 JUNO Awards, where he also delivered his first televised performance. Karan’s momentum continues into 2025 with three JUNO Award nominations, including Single of the Year for “Winning Speech.”

South Asian music, particularly of Punjabi origin, has seen enormous global growth in recent years, transcending cultural boundaries and driving a massive increase in consumption across streaming platforms. South Asian artists have been performing at major international music festivals, topping global charts, and amassing billions of streams across various platforms. #SPOTTED: ONEREPUBLIC IN TORONTO FOR NEW DISC “NATIVE” | RYAN TEDDER AUTOGRAPH GIVEAWAY

I’ve waited for this moment for so long!  OneRepublic currently are in Toronto doing Press for their forthcoming Universal Music Canada Disc Native, due in December.  Frontman Ryan Tedder at just age 33 has accomplished what many Singer/Songwriters never will accomplish in a lifetime – cross-platform success in both realms including GRAMMY wins.  He has written and produced for Pop Royalty including the likes of Adele, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston and so many, many more and even has sung his own Hits including instantly-recognizable Top 40 Radio-stapes like Stop and Stare, Good Life, Rocketeer (w/Far East Movement) and of course, Apologize.  Tedder‘s Falsetto is sublime and his Vocals emotive.

OneRepublic started their day dark and early arriving 6:00 AM at CityTV‘s Breakfast Television for a two-song Performance before a lucky group of Fans, plus Hosts Brad Smith (The Bachelor Canada) and Dina Pugliese.  Click here to see a Clip. The Band’s Rider was rather simple, requesting only bottles of Water and get this, Pizza from Pizza Hut… for Breakfast!  Fans waiting outside were in for a shock to see the Boys walk on-foot along Victoria Street following their Performance, no Driver required!

In addition to their upcoming Release, the Band will be hitting the road in the near future, in addition to doing some work for Save the Children.  Earnings generated from their latest Single Feel Again went to the Organization, drawing on their experiences working with Children in Malawi and Guatemala.
