“I am so excited to share the GUTS World Tour with my fans,” said Olivia. “For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in-person, now you can have the best seats in the house! And to the fans who cheered, screamed, and danced with me, I am so glad we get to do it all over again!”
On February 23, 2024, in Greater Palm Springs, CA, Olivia Rodrigo kicked off the GUTS World Tour — a massive, sold-out 95-date arena tour across North America, Europe, UK, Asia, and Australia playing renowned venues such as Madison Square Garden, The O2 in London, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Paris’ Accor Arena, Singapore Indoor Stadium, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. Rolling Stone said, “Rodrigo cemented her position in pop culture as a generation-defining artist. As a rockstar.” Variety noted, “It’s a rock ‘n’ roll show, by the way — maybe the best rock tour we’ll get all year…” Both of Rodrigo’s albums, SOUR and GUTS, are available via Geffen Records.

There is no doubt that Olivia Rodrigo is a global megastar, hence it was no surprise that she touched down in Toronto this long weekend in what was an absolute takeover! Rodrigo brought her GUTS Tour, in support of her sophomore album of the same title, for two nights to Scotiabank Area, selling-out completely.
AMEX also sponsored a three-day pop-up at Queen x Ossington called THE GUTS GALLERY, partnering together with Rodrigo‘s Canadian label Universal Music Canada. The immersive experience gave fans a chance to connect with Rodrigo‘s glittery-angst aesthetic and it was a huge hit with two long lines forming around the building with queues said to be four-plus hours long at one point to get in.
Above this, CRUMBL COOKIES also have partnered with Rodrigo on a fun initiative where you for the week you could get GUTS-themed cookies at their Heartland Shopping Centre store. Missed out? They’ll be back in August!
The three-time Grammy winner dazzled in shimmery costumes designed by Heather Picchiottino as fans screamed their hearts out. Whether Rodrigo is rocking-out to ’90s-inspired Alt-Rock bangers or hitting us in the feels with her intimate Bedroom Pop balladry, she is an absolute presence on-stage, all eyes completely on her. And did we mention how punctual she was? She was on promptly and everyone got to go home at a reasonable time. That’s refreshing!
Though Rodrigo has only two albums to her credit, she had plenty of material to go on, and even threw-in “You Can’t Catch Me Now” from “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes“, and also new single “Obsessed” from an upcoming re-release of GUTS.
We struggled getting into the Pop-Up before giving up, we struggled to get tickets and struggled even to get the cookies, but it was all so worth it in the end!

Reigning Grammy-winning Best New Artist Olivia Rodrigo, continues her Sour Tour and concludes its Toronto dates tonight at Massey Hall. The nineteen-year-old Singer-Songwriter and Actress continues to see the fruits of her hard work flourish, selling-out theatres on both sides of the Atlantic with the Tour in support of her phenomenal debut album of the same name.
Rodrigo continues to have an amazing year, hot off three Grammy wins, a Documentary DRIVING HOME 2 U on Disney+ and this Tour, and we cannot wait to hear new Music. SOUR was the Soundtrack of our 2021! Also cannot wait to finally see her live in-concert with hopefully more tickets as she expands the size of the venues she plays. Believe us, we tried really hard to get tickets to this and it’s rare we don’t get to see a concert.
We were so happy to meet Rodrigo quickly as she went to get lunch quickly with tourmate Holly Humberstone. While her bodyguard was kind to come chat with us giving headsup she wouldn’t be stopping for Selfies in the City, she was sweet enough to sign our Cassette Tape for us and as she walked by me she did look over whispering a bright, friendly “Hello!”. Wish I had that on-video! Enjoying the beautiful weather, she looked so chic in a black shirt, bikini top, striped cardigan and “MOMA” baseball cap!
Rodrigo is believed to be headed back to New York City for Monday’s Met Gala, before hitting-up Boston for her next tour date. The Tour concludes July in London. Perhaps that MOMA cap really was a clue she’ll be at the Met Gala since Fashion’s most star-studded night takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art?
In case you missed it, Avril Lavigne surprised fans on-stage at the first night of Rodrigo‘s Toronto dates! More here.
Really happy to have finally met Rodrigo! And cannot wait to get that official Selfie with her one day. Love her!

It was the hottest ticket in the City and Toronto got treated to two nights of triple Grammy winner Olivia Rodrigo at Massey Hall, on her first self-headlining Sour Tour. With tickets selling-out instantly, the Tour gave fans a chance to see Rodrigo perform in an intimate setting versus going the arena/stadium route. This was surprising seeing how popular she is. That being said, the tickets were highly-coveted and many got shut-out. And yes, we’re a little sour about that!
Rodrigo performed a 13-track set, with English Singer-Songwriter Holly Humberstone supporting her. The set featured tracks off her debut album SOUR, but included one special cover of Avril Lavigne‘s smash hit “Complicated“. And ever better, Lavigne, who happened to be in Toronto getting ready to kick-off her BITE ME Tour tomorrow night, was able to join her on-stage! Fans were ecstatic!

Lavigne, who herself would understand the instant meteoric success that Rodrigo is experiencing, having dominated Pop Charts in the early ’00s, just recently got engaged to Singer MOD SUN, who also was in-attendance at the show. She will appear in May at the JUNOs again in Toronto!
We spotted Lavigne and Mod Sun leaving the show tonight together, both stopping for autographs and selfies with fans. The commotion reached a high-peak with a huge crowd lining the stage door at the theatre for a chance to see Rodrigo up-close, only for her to be snuck-out quietly out the venue.
See our Snaps:
Rodrigo is expected to head next to New York for Monday’s Met Gala, her second time attending. Many are guessing she will wear Vivienne Westwood after she sported a creation by her at the Grammys recently.
We cannot wait to see Rodrigo live one day! So jealous of everyone who got a chance to see her live!
We were lucky enough to spot Rodrigo around town. More on that here.

Synopsis:
“OLIVIA RODRIGO: driving home 2 u” features 11 songs from “SOUR” performed with brand new arrangements in unique locations, including Mojave Airplane Boneyard, Roy’s Motel & Café, Arcosanti and the Red Rock Canyon State Park. It also includes special guest performances and appearances by GRAMMY®-nominated artist Jacob Collier, Blu DeTiger and Towa Bird. The filmexplores how “SOUR” came to be through Olivia’s personal stories and behind-the-scenes footage featuring intimate moments showcasing Olivia’s artistry in and out of the studio.

18-year-old Actress/Singer/Songwriter OLIVIA RODRIGO absolutely is owning the Pop game right now. The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star debuted earlier this year with DRIVERS LICENSE, taking her straight to the top of the charts, the US Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Hot 100 importantly – a huge feat for a new artist and a first single.
While it is a tall order to top that, her follow-up singles from debut Album SOUR cohesively follow post-breakup teenage angst, but she does it in such a delicate way that connects and is so relatable. Her lost love found new love quickly and she isn’t quite ready to cope with it. And so the 11-track collection explores the various emotions – sadness, anger and envy – and subsequent feelings of victimization. As she sums-up in single-worthy TRAITOR, “It took you two weeks to go off and date her/
Guess you didn’t cheat/But you’re still a traitor”. HAPPIER has her wishing them happiness but not happier than when they were together. Understandable.
The mostly Pop-Rock-driven Disc is produced by Dan Nigro who is responsible for Rodrigo‘s musical counterpart Conan Gray‘s debut Disc also, plus working with the likes of Lewis Capaldi and more. Taylor Swift even has given her blessing openly calling Rodrigo her “baby”, also allowing her to interpolate her track NEW YEARS DAY into the newcomer’s track 1 STEP FORWARD, 3 STEPS BACK. The two finally met recently at The BRITS!
Check-out some selections from SOUR, which quickly has gained critical acclaim and is primed for great commercial success.
