Paramount+ in Canada today announced that the addictive new thriller, RED EYE, will be available to watch in full on the service in Canada on Friday, July 5, 2024.
Told over an adrenaline-filled six parts, the limited series is a pulse-pounding murder mystery set at 30,000 feet.
When Dr. Matthew Nolan (Richard Armitage) is renditioned to China from the UK, inexplicable deaths onboard the Red Eye flight raise suspicions. Hana Li (Jing Lusi), the police officer escorting Nolan, forms an unlikely alliance from the air, with Head of MI5 Madeline Delaney (Lesley Sharp) and journalist Jess Li (Jemma Moore), Hanaâs sister, on the ground as they work together to uncover a wider global conspiracy.
The series â which recently launched in the UK on ITV1 and ITVX to astounding success – was commissioned by ITVâs Head of Drama Polly Hill and is British screenwriter Peter A. Dowlingâs (Black and Blue, Flightplan) television debut.
The series is produced by Wales-based production company, Sony Pictures Television-backed Bad Wolf, founded in 2015 by Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner. Award-winning producer Julie Gardner (I Hate Suzie, Doctor Who) Executive Produces the series alongside Lachlan MacKinnon (A Discovery of Witches, Industry). Fortitude and Power Book IV: Force Director, Kieron Hawkes, directs all episodes in the series, which is produced by Kristian Dench (The Capture, Strike Back).
The project was developed and overseen by Bad Wolfâs Director of Content, Dan McCulloch. Sony Pictures Television is responsible for the international distribution of RED EYE.
