ABOUT EMILY IN PARIS
Emily in Paris Logline: Emily, an ambitious twentysomething marketing executive from Chicago, unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris. Her new life is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles work, friendships, and romance.
Creator / Executive Producer / Writer: Darren Star
Produced by: Paramount Television Studios, Darren Star Productions, and Jax Media
Emily in Paris has captivated fans around the world. Since its debut in 2020, Seasons 1–5 have spent 32 weeks on the Netflix Global Top 10 list, reached #1 in 90 countries, and accumulated over 250 million views from H1 2023 to H2 2025 .The series invites fans into Emily’s chic and fabulous life inspiring trends, memes, fashion, location visits and more. As with his previous groundbreaking television series that put New York (Sex and the City) and Los Angeles (Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place) on the cultural map, creator Darren Star’s signature storytelling has consistently shaped entertainment and global pop culture—this time through the lens of Paris. Emily in Paris contributed to a boost in tourism to France, and French President Emmanuel Macron praised the show for enhancing the city’s appeal.
Darren Star’s storytelling has found an incredible home on Netflix, according to the Netflix engagement report, Darren Star titles on Netflix—including Emily in Paris, Sex and the City, Younger, Sex and the City: The Movie, Sex and the City 2, and Uncoupled—garnered 435 million total views from H1 2023 to H2 2025. Most recently we announced a new comedy series Uncorked, which plans to delve into the life of a talented but self-destructive winemaker who returns to Napa for her second chance at love, legacy and that elusive 100 point wine.
We were so incredibly lucky to run into Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo recently as he was in town for a personal visit. He was spotted receiving a warm hug from funnywoman and Overcompensating star Mary Beth Barone, who is in-town working on the popular college-set series’ second season. As some might recall, they were seen also at a St. Patrick’s Day NY Knicks game together,
The French heartthrob plays Gabriel in beloved Netflix series Emily in Paris – the titular character’s chef neighbour and on-again, off-again love interest. He will be returning for a sixth season we are hearing, and the next season is said to take place in Greece (Mykonos, anyone?) We cannot wait! The show is our perfect escape. More details to come! We barely got enough of him in season five, and hope the Series’ Writers have found a way to align Gabriel a bit more to where Bravo is right now spiritually and creatively as he has expressed in interviews he feels he’s grown away from the character a bit.
A quick highlight of the moment. Bravo was so kind to stop for a snap, while Barone giggled at us. We’re so sorry, Mary Beth, we only realized it was her after! We are a fan and have been following her too after she slayed on the red carpet at this year’s Golden Globes!
We can’t believe our luck sometimes!

-Rupert Everett as Giorgio Barbieri: The owner of a global interior design firm based in Rome. Giorgio makes it his business to know everyone else’s business, and to be the life of every party. He’s been friends with Sylvie for decades.
-Anna Galiena as Antonia MuratorI: Marcello’s mother, the matriarch of the Muratori family, and the head of the family business. Antonia presides over their small village by building up the community and taking care of the people who live and work there. Even in uncertain times, Antonia is committed to maintaining the company’s soul.
-Raoul Bova as Giancarlo: A charming, self-assured, successful Roman commercial director who used to be Sylvie’s film professor.
