#SPOTTED: AMELIA DIMOLDENBERG OF “CHICKEN SHOP DATE” IN TORONTO

English Comedian and Creator Amelia Dimoldenberg makes her first visit to Canada ever! How lucky are Humber College to get her in for an exclusive speaking engagement, courtesy of their IGNITE student union!

Dimoldenberg has gained international fame with her extremely popular Web Series CHICKEN SHOP DATE, where she interviews celebrities, edited down to seven minutes of what is a balance of comedy, awkwardness and charm. Recent guests have included Jennifer Lawrence, Paul Mescal, Shania Twain, Central Cee and Cher (!!!!)… among other fascinating subjects.

And get this, Dimoldenberg has just been asked by The Academy to be their Red Carpet Correspondent at the upcoming Academy Awards in March! It doesn’t get bigger than this!

So lovely getting to chat with the burgeoning star quickly. She tells me that she’s meeting her parents here and they have a fun-packed itinerary which may include a Leafs game and some pre-planned dinners! Chicken Shop Dinners, maybe? Surely, she’ll be back one day for a proper interview with Drake at his Dave’s Hot Chicken! Dimoldenberg is absolutely lovely inside and out. Huge fan. Cannot wait to see where her success takes her next! Wouldn’t you totally be down to see her do Stand-Up Comedy here? C’mon, Just for Laughs get on this!
