#REVIEW: “THE TRIP TO ITALY”
Fans of 2010's The Trip will rejoice about The Trip to Italy, likewise an edited Film version of Michael Winterbottom's acclaimed British TV Series starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. We catch up with the famous Friends as they head on a roadtrip which takes them from Liguaria to Naples to Rome and ultimately the captivating Capri, where Coogan's on-screen Son Joe (Timothy Leach) joins the two. Like before, the Duo play a semi-fictionalized version of themselves.
What makes The Trip to ...

#REVIEW: “INTO THE STORM”
Review by Justin Waldman for Mr. Will Wong
Films like Into The Storm seem to be second nature for Director Steven Quale whose last outing, Final Destination 5, was another extremely entertaining work of ridiculous exhaustion. For a Film like Into The Storm, the level of entertainment is key and thankfully Quale and Screenwriter John Swetnam deliver an absurd amount of entertainment and suspense in their 90-minute Tornado-Thriller.
The Movie opens by introducing itself as a Documentary-style ...

#REVIEW: “CAVALRY”
Review by David Baldwin for Mr. Will Wong
I loved each and every minute of Writer/Director John Michael McDonagh’s debut Feature, The Guard. It was an unconventional Comedy, but it was a blast from start to finish. When I started reading about his follow-up, Calvary, I was instantly intrigued. But lightning does not always strike twice.
Father James Lavelle (Brendan Gleeson) is a good, maybe even great Priest. But after a particularly disturbing confession by a mysterious Parishioner, ...

#REVIEW: “TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES”
Review by David Baldwin for Mr. Will Wong
One of my obsessions as a child of the early 1990s was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I loved the Movies, watched the original 1987 TV Series religiously, had many of the toys and played the Arcade Game on my NES for hours on-end. My favourite Character was Michelangelo because he was just an awesome Dude. While the Movies have had trouble standing the test of time (watch The Secret of the Ooze again and see if anything other than the Ninja Rap holds ...

#REVIEW: “GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY”
It is safe to say that Sci-Fi has lacked a real presence in American Cinema of late. Sure there have been a few bright moments, but for the most part it’s lost in the dark of the moon. Alas the sun has risen this Summer, and it’s illuminated an array of Space Operas and visionary Tales. The most recent of which being the highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy.
Relative-Unknowns until recently, this Gang of rag-tag Ruffians have burst onto the scene like a solar flare. Star-Lord (Chris ...

#REVIEW: “MAGIC IN THE MOONLIGHT”
Woody Allen makes amazing Films. Yes, a blanket statement but undeniably more often true than not.  Latest effort Magic in the Moonlight explores the Filmmaker's life-long obsession with Magic and thanks to smart crafting and extraordinary performances, there certainly is no illusion that this '20s-set Romantic Comedy is enchanting.
The Film centers on celebrated English Magician Stanley (Colin Firth), who arrives on the French Riviera, determined to expose a beautiful young Medium named ...

#REVIEW: “HERCULES”
Review by Justin Waldman for Mr. Will Wong
Brett Ratner certainly has some credit to his name for directing Box Office Hits like Rush Hour, Red Dragon, and 21. With much controversy surrounding his helming of The X-Men: The Last Stand, it would appear the pressure of the Blockbuster World is on his shoulders. His latest effort, the at times lagging Hercules, manages to be redeemed by a few hearty laughs.
This new telling of our Hero Hercules (Dwayne Johnson) is about the Man perceived as ...

#REVIEW: “LUCY”
Review by David Baldwin for Mr. Will Wong
The Professional is one of the very best Action Films of the 90’s, and would take the top spot if it were not such a renaissance for the Genre. The Story of a relationship between a foreign Assassin and a 12-year-old Orphan Girl is sweet, slightly creepy, and has managed to have a hint of timelessness twenty years later. While The Fifth Element was a certifiably insane follow-up, Writer/Director Luc Besson has spent much of the time since those Films ...
