#TIFF14: “HEARTBEAT”
Review by Justin Waldman for Mr. Will Wong
Heartbeat is meant to be this inspiring Comedic Story about getting your life together after it all falls apart. However the way that Director Andrea Dorfman and the Movie approach this subject, the message gets lost. The Film unfortunately never finds its true voice throughout, and makes the experience more strenuous than enjoyable.
The Story focuses on Justine (Tanya Davis) and her struggle to accept that her Boyfriend dumped her, and then after ...

#TIFF14: “PREGGOLAND”
Review by Justin Waldman for Mr. Will Wong
Preggoland written by and starring Sonja Bennett is something quiet unexpected. It is an original Comedy from TIFF Favourite Jacob Tierney, which feels like the Cast of Mean Girls grew up 15 years and had children all except for Regina George. Well in the case of Preggoland that is what it feels like for Ruth (Sonja Bennett) who is trying to remain friends with her friends despite not being a Mom.
The Movie focuses on Ruth throughout and follows her ...

#TIFF14: “ZERO RECOGNITION”
Celebrities cope with fame in several different ways - believe me, I've seen my share on Stars in the public eye. Some are totally cool with their star status, Â and well, some aren't. Â ZERO RECOGNITION, a collaborative Short by Canadian Talents Lauren Collins and Ben Lewis, makes its debut at TIFF '14. Â On one level it is a witty and self-deprecating look at the World of Online Dating. Â On another level, it is a multi-tiered look at the at-times-non-existent Star System within Hollywood ...

Review by Jonathan Godfrey for Mr. Will Wong
For the better part of the last millennium the Western World has built itself upon a binary belief, that there is that which is good and that which is evil. #REVIEW: “LIFE OF CRIME”
Review by Justin Waldman for Mr. Will Wong
Last year's TIFF the Closing Night Gala was the Jennifer Aniston-starring vehicle, Life of Crime.  Almost a year to the day, the Film sees a unique simultaneous Theatrical and Home Video release. Unfortunately, the Movie isn't  quite as exhilarating as its Title suggests,  however it still does have  its moments saving it from a total Misfire. The saving graces are  Anistonâs performance, and the strength of its brilliant Cast including the ...

#REVIEW: “SWEARNET”
Review by Jonathan Godfrey for Mr. Will Wong
Though the Trailer Park Boys have been off the air since 2008 Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay and Mike Smith have nevertheless remained busy. What with a pair of TPB Films, The Drunk and  Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour, and a Series of Independent Projects, Fans of the Trio have had plenty to watch.
Swearnet is their latest. It's a self-explanatory Title really, but to clear things up, Swearnet is a curse word-friendly Network funded by crooked cash ...
