#TIFF14: “COMING HOME”

Yimou Zhang is known for creating some fantastic Films recognized on an international scale like Hero, Flowers Coming Home and House of Flying Daggers and with his latest Feature Coming Home he uses his profound skills as a Filmmaker to tell a beautiful Tale of love. Unlike his other outings, Coming Home is a whimsical Story of how far true love can last for and how strong it can be.

The Film focuses on Gong Li (Yu) and Daoming Chen (Lu) and their Child Huiwen Zeng (Dan Dan). The Father is taken away from his home and sent far away due to the Political Party in charge at the time. When he finally is released, Yu has amnesia and does not recall whom he is, as Lu makes it his mission for their connection to be recreated. Coming Home demonstrates the capacity that true love takes and demonstrates it so beautifully that it will surely leave a tear in your eye. A Must-See at TIFF ’14.

The chemistry between Chinese Queen of Cinema, Gong Li , and Daoming Chen displays the true essence of a Couple who have fought long and hard to be together after tragedy and turmoil. Incredible Storytelling and absolute tear-jerking performances. Unforgettable.
