#REVIEW: “SHOW DOGS”
Review Amanda Gilmore for Mr. Will Wong
Show Dogs follows NYPD police dog Max (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) and FBI agent Frank (Will Arnett) who reluctantly team up to save a stolen baby Panda. When they both fail to save the panda the first time Max get’s a tip that the panda has been moved to Las Vegas. To find the panda, Max and Frank go undercover as Contestant and Trainer at the world’s most exclusive Dog Show with is happening in Vegas. After being apart of the show for a little while they realize that these panda smugglers have another kidnapping plot on their hands. To prevent this plot from happening Max gains some canine friends to help him and Frank.
Writers Max Botkin and Marc Hyman ensure hilarity throughout the story. And Director Raja Gosnell takes that Comedy and adds a steady pace of action and heart-felts moments to keep the audience entertained. The Cast bring their own flare to the Film as well. Arnett plays the tough Frank with a heart of gold. And then there is an Ensemble of Voice Talent who knock it out of the park, namely Ludacris, Alan Cummings, Stanley Tucci, Shapuille O’Neal and more. Each one of them bring their own Comedy into their characters which makes these already adorable animals, all the more lovable.
Overall, Show Dogs isn’t going to be for everyone, but it will make for a fun time at the for the family.
