#FIRSTLOOK: JASON MOMOA TAPPED FOR “CHIEF OF WAR”
Jason Momoa is tapped for upcoming Series CHIEF OF WAR, coming to Apple TV+. He will star-in, write and serve as Executive Producer on this eight-episode Limited Series.
- “Chief of War” follows the epic and unprecedented telling of the unification and colonization of Hawaii from an indigenous point of view.
- Created by Jason Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett and produced Endeavor Content and Chernin Entertainment, the series is executive produced by Jason Momoa, Francis Lawrence, Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Erik Holmberg, and Doug Jung and who also serves as showrunner. Justin Chon is in negotiations to direct the first two episodes.
- “Chief of War” will premiere globally on Apple TV+ alongside an expanding offering of limited series from today’s most creative storytellers including “WeCrashed” starring and executive produced by Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto; “The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey” starring and executive produced by Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson, and based on the moving novel by best-selling author Walter Mosley; a recently announced new limited event series starring multi-award winner Michael Douglas as Benjamin Franklin; acclaimed series “The Shrink Next Door”; “Masters of the Air” from Apple Studios and executive produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, and Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman’s Playtone; “Five Days at Memorial” from Academy Award winner John Ridley and Emmy Award winner Carlton Cuse, and more.
