On Thursday, May 28, 2026, Maxime’s Toronto is opening its doors to a rare culinary event that redefines the traditional steakhouse experience: Steak Omakase Night, hosted in partnership with Woodward Meats. This isn’t just a dinner; it’s a curated journey through the world of luxury proteins, guided by Dale McMenemy, the founder of Woodward Meats and one of Canada’s foremost authorities on fine butchery.
As the premium supplier behind Toronto’s most prestigious kitchens, Dale will be on-site to walk guests through the nuances of marbling, aging, and the craft behind the world’s most sought-after cuts.
For one night only, guests will bypass the traditional menu and indulge in two expertly curated prix fixe tasting options. Each “Steak Omakase” features a progression of premium cuts, hand-selected by Dale and the Maxime’s culinary team:
The Connoisseur | $125 per person
A 3-cut steak omakase (3oz each), featuring a progression of textures and flavors.
Choice of Appetizer & Signature Side.
Optional Wine Pairing: $40
The Grand Tour | $175 per person
The ultimate exploration: A 4-cut omakase (3oz each) of Woodward’s rarest selections.
Choice of Appetizer & Signature Side.
Optional Wine Pairing: $50
Maxime’s has long been known for its high-energy atmosphere and sophisticated aesthetic, but this evening shifts the spotlight to the craft. Woodward Meats is a leader in Toronto’s fine butchery, and this omakase-style service allows you to compare different premium varieties side-by-side.
