The Best Part Inc. has shared the premiere date for its upcoming workplace comedy Harmony Gardens, starring Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and Debra McGrath (Getting Along Famously). The series will launch on YouTube and Convos TV on November 2, following the premiere at Paradise Theatre in Toronto.
Harmony Gardens is a workplace comedy about the offbeat but compassionate staff of a retirement home who seemingly never leave work, and the eclectic group of residents, who also never leave (until they like LEAVE leave…). As STI outbreaks, budget cuts, family feuds and protests disrupt the home, the staff disagree over how to restore order and the residents have their own ideas about what needs fixing.
The series stars Mochrie and McGrath, alongside Jackie Richardson (The Gospel According to Blues), Al Mukadam (Pretty Hard Cases, Miss Sloane), Ann Pornel (The Great Canadian Baking Show) and Katherine King-So (Bloodthirsty, Ordinary Girl in a Tiara).
Harmony Gardens is produced by The Best Part Inc., led by producer Brenda Rusnak, writer/showrunner Macaulee Cassaday, and director/editor Saffron Cassaday. The team has collaborated for more than a decade, beginning with the award-winning documentary Cyber-Seniors, which was broadcast in more than 40 countries and distributed through major platforms including CBC, Netflix, and PBS. Since then, the team has produced multiple documentaries, scripted projects, and digital series focused on creating engaging, socially relevant stories for broad audiences.
