FOCUS FEATURES RETEAMS WITH WES ANDERSON AND INDIAN PAINTBRUSH FOR THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME COMING TO THEATRES MAY 30, 2025.

Focus Features has landed the worldwide distribution rights to THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME, the next film from Wes Anderson. In addition to directing, Anderson wrote the script with the story co-written by Roman Coppola. The deal marks the third major collaboration between Focus, Anderson, and Indian Paintbrush, who also partnered on Anderson’s most recent feature, ASTEROID CITY, and the 2012 hit MOONRISE KINGDOM, which were both written by Anderson and Coppola.

Focus will distribute the film domestically with a limited release on May 30, 2025 and wide expansion on June 6th. Universal Pictures International is handling international distribution.

Today, Disney+ released the official trailer and key art for Onyx Collective’s Original comedy series “Deli Boys,” starring Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, Poorna Jagannathan, Alfie Fuller and Brian George. All 10 episodes will begin streaming Thursday, March 6, 2025 exclusively on Disney+ in Canada.

The series was created by Abdullah Saeed and developed by Jenni Konner and Nora Silver under Jenni Konner Productions. Michelle Nader, who also serves as showrunner, is an executive producer alongside Saeed, Konner and Silver. Nisha Ganatra is executive producer and director on the pilot, with Vali Chandrasekaran as a non-writing executive producer on the pilot. The series hails from Onyx Collective and is produced by 20th Television.

CHEFS CANADA, the organization that manages our national culinary teams is looking for one chef to head Bocuse d’Or Canada and two bakers (one chocolate master and one sugar specialist) to take the reins of the World Pastry Cup Team Canada. Expectations are high for the next contenders: in addition to experience, creative mastery, stellar execution and unparalleled technical skills, the candidates need to be able to perform under pressure, build relationships with chefs, industry professionals, medias, brands and sponsors from coast to coast. Applicants have until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2025 to submit their application on the Chefs Canada website. A committee composed of some of the country’s top chefs will be selecting the top candidates who will battle it out on the Garland Stage at the RC Show this April.

Under the eye of the country’s leading industry professionals, contenders will go head-to-head in a high-energy battle for the chance to become our national culinary athletes. The event, modeled after the world-famous Bocuse d’Or and World Pastry Cup in Lyon (France), will give participants two and a half hours to fulfill the theme provided.

Today during the Big Game, Marvel Studios released a new trailer and poster for the upcoming feature film “Thunderbolts*.” In theatres May 2, 2025.

Marvel Studios also announced the exciting news that Son Lux will be scoring “Thunderbolts*.” The three-member, American experimental band was Oscar® and BAFTA- nominated for their score for 2022’s best picture “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

In “Thunderbolts*,” Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes — Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker. After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?

Rock legend and former The White Stripes member Jack White, made his way into Toronto for his three sold-out shows at both HISTORY and Massey Hall February 6-8, 2025, kicking off his The No Name Tour, in support of his latest Grammy-nominated album. This marks White‘s sixth solo album, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee recording, releasing and printing the album via his own Third Man Studio, Third Man Recordings and Third Man Pressing respectively.

White kept a low profile coming through with his Tour manager Lalo Medina, taking a moment to stop to sign some vinyls for fans who queued up on arrival.
