The team behind Toronto’s popular The Carbon Bar and its e-commerce ready-to-eat meal delivery counterpart, Shop The Carbon Bar, is bringing its bold BBQ flavours to a new, fast-casual setting. The grand opening of The Carbon Snack Bar, located in Toronto’s iconic 460 King Street West building, will open on August 25, 2025!
From its early days in 1873 as the Richardson House, to its transformation into the legendary Cabana Room where The Rolling Stones and Leonard Cohen left their mark, this building has always had stories to tell. It later became the Spadina Hotel, a renowned hotel in the beautiful city of Toronto.
The new all-day snack bar brings the soul of The Carbon Bar into a fresh, vibrant setting in the heart of Toronto’s King Street West neighbourhood. Open seven days a week from morning to evening, The Carbon Snack Bar features a grab-and-go counter, a retail selection of smoked meats and sides, and a thoughtfully curated, fully-licensed beverage selection, including an espresso bar, a Craig’s Cookies counter, craft beers, curated wines and ready-to-drink cocktails.
“It’s a dream to bring The Carbon Bar experience to the iconic 460 King Street West building – this location, like for many Torontonians, holds a special place in my heart,” says Yannick Bigourdan, founder of The Carbon Bar and Shop The Carbon Bar. “I fell in love with the potential of the retail space and knew we had an opportunity to bring something exciting to this legendary corner of the city.”
Whether you’re starting your day, grabbing lunch on the go, or stocking up for a weekend BBQ, The Carbon Snack Bar is set to become a new local staple. The expansive outdoor patio is the perfect spot to enjoy an early breakfast or a late-afternoon glass of wine. Inside boasts 35 seats with bright colours, bold branding and lots of natural light.
“Torontonians know that choosing The Carbon Bar means indulging in top‑notch cuisine, crafted with premium ingredients and a dedication to excellence. That same standard extends to the new Carbon Snack Bar,” Bigourdan says. “We’re bringing our signature hospitality into a format that fits into people’s everyday lives. It’s approachable, delicious, and driven by quality – exactly what people expect from us, just in a faster, more casual setting.”
