#FIRSTLOOK: NEW TEASER FOR SEASON TWO OF “SCHOOL SPIRITS”

Paramount+ revealed the teaser and first-look images for season two of its hit original drama series SCHOOL SPIRITS. The highly anticipated new season will debut early 2025, streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada, the U.S., Australia, the UK, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Japan. Season one is currently available to stream on Paramount+. The news was revealed during the SCHOOL SPIRITS panel at New York Comic Con 2024. Season 1 and 2 of SCHOOL SPIRITS was filmed in Vancouver.

Picking up from the shocking season one finale, Maddie Nears (Peyton List) is still stuck in the afterlife, but now with the knowledge of what happened to her. She must unite her friends in the spectral and living worlds in order to reclaim her stolen life. In the just-released teaser, viewers get a glimpse into the suspense that awaits them this season.

SCHOOL SPIRITS stars Peyton List as Maddie Nears, Kristian Ventura as Simon Elroy, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Rainbow Wedell as Claire Zomer, Josh Zuckerman as Mr. Martin and Milo Manheim as Wally Clark.

#FIRSTLOOK: PRODUCTION UNDERWAY FOR SEASON TWO OF “SCHOOL SPIRITS”

Paramount+ today announced that production is officially underway for season two of its hit original drama series SCHOOL SPIRITS. Coming off a major cliffhanger, the new season will premiere this fall exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada, the U.S. Australia, the UK, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Japan.

Paramount+ also announced today that all series regulars will return for season two and that new recurring guest stars have been added to the cast. SCHOOL SPIRITS stars Peyton List as Maddie Nears, Kristian Ventura as Simon Elroy, Canadian Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Rainbow Wedell as Claire Zomer, Josh Zuckerman, who is now a series regular, as Mr. Martin and Milo Manheim as Wally Clark.

Newcomers this season will include recurring guest stars Jess Gabor (Shameless, Confessional) as Janet Hamilton, Zack Calderon (The Wilds, Afterparty) as Diego Herrera, Miles Elliot (Cooties, The Amazing Spider-Man) as Yuri and Chinese-Canadian Cihang Ma (Presto! School of Magic, Departure) as Quinn. Maria Dizzia, who plays Maddie’s mom, Sandra Nears, will also return as a recurring guest star along with Canadian Patrick Gilmore as Mr. Anderson and Ian Tracy as Sheriff Baxter.

#FIRSTLOOK: NEW TRAILER FOR “SCHOOL SPIRITS” STARRING PEYTON LIST

Paramount+ today announced its new young adult drama series, SCHOOL SPIRITS, will premiere with two episodes on Thurs., March 9, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 8-episode-long season will be available to stream weekly on Thursdays for subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. SCHOOL SPIRITS was filmed in Vancouver in the summer and fall of 2022. 

The announcement was made during the series’ panel at Paramount+’s Television Critics Association presentation, where a first look teaser trailer was also revealed. The SCHOOL SPIRITS panel featured series star Peyton List, along with cast members Nick Pugliese and Milo Manheim; showrunner and executive producer Oliver Goldstick; and creators, executive producers and writers Nate and Megan Trinrud.  

Produced by Awesomeness Live-Action Studios, the YA series SCHOOL SPIRITS is centered around Maddie (Peyton List), a teen girl stuck in the afterlife investigating her mysterious disappearance. Maddie goes on a crime-solving journey as she adjusts to high school in the afterlife, but the closer she gets to uncovering the truth, the more secrets and lies she discovers. 

SCHOOL SPIRITS stars Peyton List (“Cobra Kai,” “Bunk’d”) as Maddie Nears, and is based on the upcoming graphic novel by Nate & Megan Trinrud and Maria Nguyen. Oliver Goldstick (“Pretty Little Liars,” “Bridgerton”) serves as showrunner and executive producer of SCHOOL SPIRITS, along with creators Nate and Megan Trinrud, who wrote the pilot. Max Winkler (“Cruel Summer,” “Jungleland”) directed the first two episodes and also executive produced.
