Funnyman Rob Anderson has seen a huge profile boost in the past few years since surfacing on TikTok. His witty and satirical takes on the ’90s films, television shows, books and more that we loved growing-up have won him legions of fans, crowning him as The King of Nostalgia.
His book Gay Science: The Totally Scientific Examination of LGBTQ+ Culture, Myths, and Stereotypes already has gone on to become a New Tork Times Bestseller, and he currently is taking his humour on-tour with his WHO’S AFRAID OF THE ’90s TOUR which landed in Toronto a second time at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, drawing a packed house again.
Everything from 7th Heaven, The Berenstain Bears, Beverly Hills, 90210, Dawson’s Creek, Walker, Texas Ranger and more were dissected, promoting what would be considered as toxic and problematic themes, but done with a humorous commentary. Téléfrançais! even got a mention, connecting with the Canadian audience! Genius.
Some highlights from the Show, including our little moment with Anderson!
