DOG MAN continues to do its tricks, taking top spot at the Box Office again. It earns $13.7 million in its second weekend for Universal Pictures despite it being Super Bowl weekend, which traditionally sees an slump in theatre attendance. Its two-week tally is at $54 million domestically.
Comedy-Horror HEART EYES debuts in second with $9 million from 3,102 theatres for Sony Pictures, getting 84% on the Tomatometer.
In third is a debuting LOVE HURTS with $6 million from 3,055 theatres for Universal Pictures. It gets 19% on the Tomatometer.
Fourth up is MUFASA: THE LION KING with $4 million for Disney, taking it to $235 million over 8 weeks.
COMPANION rounds out the Top Five with $3.4 million, a tally of $15.8 million for Warner Bros. over two weeks.
DOG MAN debuts with a loud bark, taking $33 million from 3,885 theatres in its opening for Universal Pictures! The adapted Animated Festure stars Pete Davidson and Lil Rel Howery.
COMPANION debuts in second with $10 million from 3,285 theatres for Warner Bros. The Drew Hancock Horror gets a fantastic 93% on the Tomatometer.
In third is MUFASA: THE LION KING with $7 million from 3,180 theatres for Disney, a total $230.4 million over seven weekends.
ONE OF THEM DAYS continues to find its footing in fourth with $6 million, taking it to $34.4 million for Sony Pictures.
Fifth is FLIGHT RISK with $5 million for Lionsgate/Cineplex Pictures, a tally of $20.3 million over two weekends.
Toronto got a huge surprise last night at a special advance screening of COMPANION. The new Drew Hancock Horror, set for a January 31, 2025 release by Warner Bros. Pictures Canada, stars up-and-coming Scream Queen Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid. It centers on a group of friends who head off to a weekend getaway only to learn that one of them is a companion robot.
Quaid who stars as Josh, currently is in town filming the final season of THE BOYS, and had a moment in his schedule to come by and say hello to some influencers and do a Q&A with Kiss 92.5‘s Maurie Sherman after the screening!
