Marvel Studios brought an unforgettable presentation to Hall H at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con with a program led by Marvel Studios’ President and Producer Kevin Feige. The blockbuster showcase included a massive “Avengers: Doomsday” panel; announced Marvel Studios’ all-new film “Ghost Rider” starring Ryan Gosling, directed by Shawn Levy and set for release in 2028; and featured a special “Black Panther 3” reveal, as writer/director Ryan Coogler introduced David Jonsson as the new Black Panther and confirmed the film’s release in theatres on December 15, 2028.

“Avengers: Doomsday”

The evening presentation featured an astounding “Avengers: Doomsday” mega-panel moderated by Feige. Feige welcomed directors Anthony and Joe Russo to the stage along with cast members of “Avengers: Doomsday,” including Oscar® winner Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, James Marsden, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn and Tenoch Huerta Mejia. Hayley Atwell also joined the panel, confirming she will return in the new film as Peggy Carter.

To the audience’s delight, the “Avengers: Doomsday” portion of the showcase also featured an exclusive in-room look at the upcoming film and directly involved fans. Each attendee was given a Doctor Doom mask and cloak to wear, and the audience was invited by Robert Downey Jr., Victor von Doom himself, to don the masks and cloaks during the panel.

In Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Doomsday,” beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito and Jonathan Schwartz. In addition to the aforementioned SDCC panelists, “Avengers: Doomsday” also stars Chris Hemsworth, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, Kathryn Newton, Alan Cumming and Mabel Cadena.

“Avengers: Doomsday” releases exclusively in theatres December 18, 2026.

“Ghost Rider”

Feige revealed breaking news during the presentation, announcing that Marvel Studios has started work on a new “Ghost Rider” film as he welcomed star Ryan Gosling (“Project Hail Mary,” “Star Wars: Starfighter”) and director Shawn Levy (“Deadpool & Wolverine,” “Star Wars: Starfighter”) to the stage. Hall H erupted in applause as the duo introduced the new film, which is set to release in theatres in 2028. Jonathan Tropper (“Star Wars: Starfighter,” “Your Friends & Neighbors”) is writing the script.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day”

Jon Bernthal also made a surprise appearance, joining Feige onstage to discuss his upcoming role as Frank Castle/The Punisher in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” and preview an exclusive early look. The new film from Sony Pictures releases in theatres July 31, 2026.

“Black Panther 3”

To cap off the Hall H celebration with one more thing, Feige welcomed Academy Award® winner Ryan Coogler (“Black Panther,” “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” “Sinners”) to the stage. Coogler, who returns to Marvel Studios to direct “Black Panther 3,” then brought out Letitia Wright and Winston Duke who confirmed the film will arrive in theatres on December 15, 2028. In a surprising and emotional moment, Coogler revealed that David Jonsson (“Alien: Romulus,” “Industry”) is the new Black Panther.

Following its exciting unveiling at Annecy International Animation Festival last month, Marvel Animation’s “Eyes of Wakanda” will now be available for fans to enjoy on Disney+ earlier than anticipated. The all-new series, which features four episodes, will debut on August 1, 2025.

The new action-adventure series, which was produced in partnership with Proximity Media’s Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian and Kalia King, follows the adventures of brave Wakandan warriors throughout history. In this globe-trotting adventure, the heroes must carry-out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts from the enemies of Wakanda. They are the Hatut Zaraze and this is their story. Featuring the voices of Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint and Anika Noni Rose, “Eyes of Wakanda” is helmed by director/executive producer Todd Harris, a director, producer and storyboard artist who has worked on some of the world’s biggest film franchises from “John Wick” to the MCU. Over the years, Harris has been a close collaborator to director Ryan Coogler, first as a storyboard artist on “Black Panther” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” then as an illustrator on “Sinners” before directing “Eyes of Wakanda.” The show is executive produced by Ryan Coogler, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt.

For an incredible fourth straight weekend, it’s AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER on-top again with $36.1 million from 4,341 theatres for 20th Century Studios, for a total $506 million domestically.

M3GAN is off to a fantastic start with $30.2 million from 3,509 theatres for Universal Pictures. Not only this, the Horror starring Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, gets 94% on the Tomatometer. It was made for only $12 million.

Third is PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH with $10 million in its third weekend, a total $84.6 million for Universal Pictures.

Fourth is BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER with $3.1 million, a total $445 million in its North American run for Disney/Marvel.

Rounding-out the Top Five is Whitney Houston Biopic I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY with $2.4 million, a total $19.6 million thus far.

AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER continues to make a splash this weekend with $67.8 million from 4,202 theatres for 20th Century Studios this New Year’s three-day weekend! Over three weekends, it has grossed in excess of $450 million domestically.

In second is PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH with $15.9 million from 4,121 theatres. Over two weekends, it has made $65.5 million for Universal Pictures.

Third spot goes to BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER with $5 million from 2,310 theatres, a total $439 million over eight weekends.

Landing in fourth we have I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY, the Whitney Houston Biopic, with $4.1 million from 3,625 theatres for Sony Pictures, a two week tally of $15.8 million.

Rounding things out is BABYLON with $3 million, a two weel total of $11.4 million for Paramount Pictures.

For a second straight week, AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER takes the #1 spot at the Box Office. Over the three-day Christmas weekend, grossing $55 million from 4,202 theatres, bringing its two-week total to $279.7 million domestically for 20th Century Studios.

A distant runner-up is PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH with $11.1 million in its debut from 4,099 theatres for Universal Pictures. Opening Wednesday, it has grossed $24.3 million already. Its 2011 predecessor opened with $34 million.

Third spot goes to Whitney Houston Biopic I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY, earning $5.5 million from 3,625 theatres for Sony Pictures.

Fourth is BABYLON with $3.3 million from 3,343 theatres for Paramount Pictures. The latest from Damien Chazelle gets.

Rounding-out the Christmas Top Five is BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER with $2.6 million, bringing its seven week tally to $426.5 million for Disney.

AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER is poised to make a huge splash in its opening this weekend with $134 million from 4,202 theatres projected for the 20th Century Studios release, which sees James Cameron returning in the Director’s Chair and also as Writer. Its 2009 predecessor opened to $77 million in its debut. The Sequel gets 76% on the Tomatometer from Critics.

BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER after five weeks on-top, slips to second with $6 million from 3,380 theatres for Marvel/Disney, a total run of $419.5 million domestically.

VIOLENT NIGHT is close behind in third with $5.3 million for Universal Pictures, a three week tally of $35.2 million.

Fourth is Disney’s STRANGE WORLD with $2.7 million, a total $34.2 million grossed to date.

THE MENU rounds-out the Top Five with $1.7 million, taking it to $32.1 million for Searchlight Pictures.

Not much change in the Top Two at the Box Office this weekend as BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER takes top spot a remarkable fifth consecutive week with $12.7 million, tallying at a total $411 million domestically for Disney/Marvel.

Second again is VIOLENT NIGHT with $8.2 million for Universal Pictures, a gross of $25.5 million over two weekends.

Third is Disney‘s STRANGE WORLD with $3.7 million, a total $30.5 million over three weekends.

In fourth is THE MENU with $2.5 million for Searchlight Pictures, a total $28.7 million grossed thus far.

Rounding-out the Top Five is DEVOTION with $1.9 million for Sony Pictures, a total $16.8 million to date.

For a fourth straight weekend, BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER reigns atop the Box Office with $16 million from 3,855 theatres for Disney. In its domestic theatrical run thus far, it’s grossed $392 million.

In second in its debut is VIOLENT NIGHT with $11.8 million from 3,200 theatres for Universal Pictures. The bloody Holiday flick starring David Harbour, gets 70% on the Tomatometer from Critics.

Third is Disney‘s STRANGE WORLD with $4.4 million from 4,174 theatres. Over two weekends, it’s made $25 million.

THE MENU is in fourth with $3.6 million from 2,810 theatres for Searchlight Pictures. It’s made $24.7 million over three weekends.

DEVOTION rounds this Top Five out with $2.8 million from3,405 theatres, a total $13.8 million over two weekends for Sony Pictures.

BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER rules the Box Office a second straight week with $66 million from 4,396 theatres for Disney. This brings its two week tally to $290 million already in North America.

Second placing goes to a debuting THE CHOSEN: SEASON 3 Episodes 1&2, a faith-based release opening with $10 million from 2,012 theatres for Fathom Events/Angel Studios. The Series centers on the life and ministry of Jesus.

Third is THE MENU with $8.8 million from 3,211 theatres for Searchlight Pictures. The TIFF ’22 selection starring Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy gets 90% on the Tomatometer.

BLACK ADAM is in fourth with $4.1 million for Warner Bros., a total $156 million grossed domestically to date.

In fifth is TICKET TO PARADISE with $3.1 million for Universal Pictures, taking its total to $61 million.

Rihanna is back with another new Track from the BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER OST. “Born Again” is a dark, cinematic, sweeping beautiful Ballad. Love this!
